Hello
I was wondering if anybody knows what’s up with this company? Every time I’ve tried ordering I’ve been told they can’t get certain items or whatever, also there are some terrible reviews on the Internet so I’m just wondering if anyone can share their experience of using Proppa cars (I think they are based in Pershore) and seeing as they keep saying they don’t have this product or that product, is the company going under?

From The Telegraph:

Basically he doesn't have the stock or the funds to buy stock that has been ordered. The article is dated from April and there are loads of customer complaints from the beginning of the year onwards. The man without a signature.0 -
Basically the problem with the company is that it has the word "Proppa" in it.Per Mare Per Terram0

I thought I'd be polite and not mention it, but you're right. If I were in the market for hardtops I wouldn't order from them because of their cack slang brand name.
Looking at the business it seems that a phenomenal amount of time has been spent on branding and building the brand rather than stock. It reminds me of all the cackhanded companies that spend millions rebranding to a new brand name along with the £££s for stationery, banners, logos, signs.
There's a secondary school near me called Cornwallis. They spent buckets on changing their name to New Line Learning - same cack, new name. The man without a signature.0 -

Oh yes. I've made it part of my purchasing "policy" not to buy from companies who mis-spell the words in their name and so far that's not steered me wrong too often. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -
*Bump* Anyone got any info?0

I'm not sure why you're still trying to order from them if they have no stock, complaints galore and dead phone lines. Try somewhere else. The man without a signature.0

This company took payment for a pick up truck cover in February. Were told 2 months ago they could not actually get it and so a refund was requested. Every time we call you get some pathetic excuse as to why they cannot refund it at this time and now all phone lines are engaged or out of use....have now started pursuing a claim with my credit card company
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
According to Companies House they are still trading, don't know how when they treat customers like this!!!0 -
Proppa shut the doors last Friday and moved as much stock out as they could before the landlord barricaded the gates with concrete sleepers.
Adam Weaver who owns the company and another company called Steel Seal UK has gone into hiding. HMRC and Euler Hermes international debt collection are after him as are many others.
He leaves behind a mountain of debt and thousands of customers who will have lost their money outright and not covered by the banks.
Anyone wanting to claim any funds back should contact their bank or card company immediately to check if you are covered.
The company continued to trade and take customers money while trading insolvent so lets hope the authorities do something about that.
Their is no sign yet of any official receiver acting on the closure and no doubt he will spring up somewhere else in time.
The Daily Telegraph should run an article about how he conned everyone and not how he was supposed to have made it.:cool:0
