What price is realistic to hold out for for a Flight to LA at Easter

Hello,

I was just wondering through a general form concensus what price should I hold out for when buying flights to LA for Easter 2012 for approximately a 14 day stay. At the moment flights are about £600 which is a bit over the top. Previously I have paid about £600 when only booking a couple of weeks before hand and £500 back in 2009 with Virgin about 3 months ahead. Is holding about for a £300 price drop unrealistic???

Any help will be much appreciated.

LA for £300 isn't going to happen.
APD/fees etc have gone right up. You'd be lucky to find something for sub-500
