If you use a dedicated compression tool like winzip it has the option of splitting it into multiple files and normally you can set the maximum size for each file it creates.
Sending it over the internet by email is really not any more secure than uploading it to a host and sharing the link to it. In both cases you can encrypt the file to reduce the chances of anyone who does gain access to it being able to read its content0 -
I would use 7zip for compression as it is totally free, but sending a file of that size by email is destined for failure. If it's much over 10MB then it's going to be unpredictable if it will arrive, so you should be looking at some sort of upload/download option. If security is an issue then email is not secure anyway, and has been mentioned you can always encrypt it.
As a last resort you could always encrypt the file, burn it to CD, and post it.0 -
If it's confidential, then it's more secure putting it on a CD and posting it than sending it via email-anyone can read it via email. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Your only options are uploading or sending on disk / memory card etc through the post, or using a file transfer programme, although your options will be limited depending on if you're trying to do it from work or at home.
You'll struggle to find anywhere that will let you email a file the size of a baby elephant0 -
The only 3 options are
1) Send it via the postal system.
2) Encrypt the data and post to a media share service (I'd suggest SpiderOak as it encrypts everything before remote storing)
3) Use a program line "winrar" which has the option to compress and split a file into 15Mb chunks good foe sending via email. You can password protect the file.Laters

Or... set up SSH and SCP the file across0
