    Hi,

Bessie needs to be sold as I have lost confidence in driving her! and it is not the car I want - in short, I think that the psycho car hates me.....hubby and brother can drive her, and she is fine, but with me no such luck!

It's ok she is playing nice, but sometimes it refuses to get into gear - I have actually been stuck on the motorway during rush hour and not be able to move!

As a result, I have lost complete confidence and actually panic and shake at the thought of driving her!

Is it not a case of changing the gear bits (I am useless with cars & can't remember what the bits I mean are called! :rotfl:) & it would go in smoother? I had that trouble with my car anyway & she's ok now...*touch wood!* I can see your point though, I'd hate to be stuck on the motorway!

Will keep my fingers crossed for you that she sells & you find a bargain next time x

    DNMS - Well done!

    - Glad your DD is ok now, hopefully it's just a random one off!

Are hubby and brother taller than you? Silly (but may be not obvious question) is your seat pulled far enough forward? There should be no reason why they are OK with it and you're not. Maybe if your seat isnt far enough forward when you think you've got the clutch fully engaged you might not have...? Just a thought... We also get carpet mats slipping under pedals if they're not the right mats for the car or aren't secured down

Final thought while lying in bed....
    Nos da all xxx
Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!

Thanks to you all, espesh La e and DNMS!
Thankfully she is not bothered about going out, so I'm going to pretty much follow your advice to the letter DNMS, town in the daytime, lunch out and shopping (for her! windowshopping for me) then nails/facepacks, gossiping and more vino.

    Panic over :)
