Happy tuesday all
Gang, I need some advice, if you don't mind? I have a friend visiting and totally didn't plan anything to do saturday night, I was thinking, as we haven't seen each other in so long we'd spend the whole time catching up, maybe have a few drinks etc, but she asked if we were going out. I've come clean, and said I'll organise something if she wants, but I'm cutting it fine, payday is next wednesday and I've got maybe £30 to play with... I'd rather stay home but she is a guest.. any ideas of how I can deal with it if she would rather go out?
Thanks and big love xx
oooooo ideas, I love them! how about a nice walk & a drink in a country pub in the afternoon just to get things going then back home for a bottle, maybe a couple of home spa treatments & a split-your-sides-laughing old film? I can personally recommend Footloose if you want to pee yourself. Also can highly recommend a good ole youtube sesh watching old songs from the 80s - always good for giggle! hth xDF as at 30/12/16

Hi,
Bessie needs to be sold as I have lost confidence in driving her! and it is not the car I want - in short, I think that the psycho car hates me.....hubby and brother can drive her, and she is fine, but with me no such luck!
It's ok she is playing nice, but sometimes it refuses to get into gear - I have actually been stuck on the motorway during rush hour and not be able to move!
As a result, I have lost complete confidence and actually panic and shake at the thought of driving her!

Weeell I feel a lot better today after yesterday's shock. Plus I am loving reading about NTBY's new romance! Feeling a bit lonely myself atm with getting messed around by someone who I thought was my friend, I don't need a friend like him. I love "virtual friends". :rotfl:
I have worked and reworked my budget and even on the absolute minimum ex has pledged me I can get by, just need to be careful and start to think more. For example, my car tax is always due the month I get my bonus, so I never put monies aside for it and use the bonus. Will do it properly from now on as the bonuses will need to be used for my over payments.
Am having a chilled night in tonight, DD is with her dad, DB3 is at the gym, he invited me too but I decided I couldn't spare £4.50. I noticed today that my home contents insurance hadn't come out this month, so I called them and because of the renewal it won't be coming out until the 28th, so effectively I skip a month! £16 to add into my "Fiona's birthday night out fund", really didn't want to miss this party as it is a fancy dress night out and already organised my costume ages ago!
Woah what a load of rubbish! Perhaps I should restart a diary to offload and organise all the overspill from my brain. LOL :rotfl:
Over and out.....peaceNothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -
Hi everyone
Loving reading the thread today.
Oooh, NTBY exciting!
sibles - my friend came round the other night and I think she was thinking we'd go out or phone for take away but I just got the pizza out the freezer and poured her a glass of wine - she soon got the hint and didn't seem to mind not going out/getting take away...or at least didn't say anything
Drafted my list in work but then didn't get a chance to post and now I don't have the energy to think. Shall add it to tomorrow's list and you can get a double wammy then
zzzz, tired me.
