This HAS to be a scam, doesnt it??

It could just be a simple typo. If they have missed a 0 off the end, then it should be $189.50 or £125.10 which sounds more reasonable.0

The thing is, it says item is in UK. So why do Australian postage?0 -
They're certainly for the American market, and not the Australian market at 120v, 60 hz. It must be a scam, they're way too cheap, free shipping in his home market, and £3.83 to ship something like thst from Australia to the UK?0

Look at his other item- $62 (US this time) for a filing (sorry filling) box something or another. But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

The seller states 'free shipping' in the listing, which is offered to AU buyers, not UK, so this is obviously targeting the Australian market, not UK.
To me it looks like a new seller who decided to sell this in Australia (either because of demand, or specs), and was right, looking at the level of sales.
They opened a shop because it's cheaper to list, they probably got a bit confused with postage, they should have used the "delivery from outside AU", and ebay will tell AU buyers they will receive the items within 1-6 days (I bet many will not have realised it's coming from the UK, we all know buyers don't read listings properly....) .
It could also be an Aussie living in the UK (they don't appear to be registered as business, but if their account is Australian, just with location as UK, it would not show).
They also have another listing, but in US dollars, so they like to sell internationally, it seems.0 -

why? there is nothing to suggest it's a scam, it's just a new seller selling a popular item in Australia.
ebay will not act unless you report something specific, what would you say? item too popular?
ebay have got limits in place for new sellers already, and as they only accept paypal buyers will get their money back if there is a problem0 -

apparently it's illegal to sell electrical items not suitable for Australia, I can see trouble ahead, buyers will not be happy
yes it's strange that it's more expensive to sell UK to UK than UK to Australia.
maybe they are scammer after all, but I bet they just don't know what they are doing0
