Anyone know who to complain to about Debenhams?

Hi there, just wondering if anyone can help,
I've been having a problem with Debenhams. I ordered 4 items online in 2 seperate deliveries from Debenhams and when I decided I didn't want them, I returned them in 1 parcel. The returns instructions are a little vague and the guy at the local post office wasn't 100% sure what to do so he stamped my returns slips for me and sent the items back (the returns slips only asked for proof of posting). I received a refund on 2 of the 4 items in the parcel and have been having an exhausting dialogue with Debenhams customer service for the past few weeks trying to get the rest of my money (£72) returned. They are saying that I should have had a barcoded receipt from the post office and they also require the returns address postcode. I know they have received the parcel as I had a refund for 2 of the 4 items it contained but am getting to my wits end with the staff at customer services and feel they are giving me the runaround hoping I'll just let it drop. I was wondering if anyone could let me know if there is somewhere I could report this to or get some independant arbitration.
Thanks for your help in advance

Did you inform them of your intent to cancel within 7 working days of receiving the items?
If you're still within that 7 days then you can inform them and they would need to refund you all monies paid. But if they didnt receive the other 2 items they could then chase you for breach of contract. Was the item not weighed or anything? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -

Not sure if Debenhams monitor this site, but they refunded the money the day after I posted here. Thanks for the useful replies.0
