You can avoid Ryanair's DCC and pay in GBP if this helps to reduce/eliminate the charges and hence the overall cost. It's a trick to do with opening two windows and then closing one at a certain stage in the process. It's written up on here if you can find it or hopefully someone will come along and point you in the right direction.0 -
example: DUB-MAN paying in GPB
Get to the page where Ryanair shows you a week of flights from DUB (with prices in Euro) but go no further. Open another Ryanair window and search for any flight from UK, then go back to the DUB-MAN page and click through on your chosen flight, the price should now be in GBP.0 -
thanks for both your replies but as the cost was the same in euros as GBP I thought it would work out cheaper to pay in euros. In the end i used a currency converter tool which equated Ryanair's exchange cost of £321 as being 376 euros so I took the chance that the Escape card would be cheaper. Iwon't know if it was until I can get to an ATM to see how much is left on the escape card. thanks for help0

The Ryanair rate is poor so you will have saved some money. I saved about 4% with the fairfx anywhere card.0
