Urgent help! RE: cat

Hi,

I’m hoping for some advice,

I seem to have found myself with a extra cat this evening!
I help rescues on my Facebook page, When I received a email this afternoon from someone begging me to take their cat from them tonight, As they are moving aboard tomorrow morning & cant take her!

She is a kitten / junior I think he said 7 months old, But the only other offer he has got is from a local breeder who wants her for kitties! L

She hasn’t been spayed, Had injections & isn’t chipped!

I have been trying to find a local charity that will help me but they are all busy!
I cant afford to take the kitten to have everything done, Nor, Am I happy that I will be having a cat that could have anything around my other animals!

I need some urgent advice right now! Is there any vouchers I can get to get her done?

Thanks in advance!

Ask the people who want you to take the cat for the amount it would cost you to have it 'done' seems only fair really.

Although, I must admit they sound a bit irresponsible not having had anything done with it up to now.

Tell them you will take it with that proviso and in cash
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

If I were them I would be reluctant to give you cash if they don't know you well. If that is the case, perhaps they can pay the vet directly by card.

I have spoken to the owner just now, He sounds like a teenager in fairness!

He isn't willing to pay any money, But will offer a donation of £5.00 to the local cat rescue!

No one is getting back to me, The kitten is having her first season & currently might be pregnant!

My local vets have said i can bring her in tomorrow morning, And they will spay her if i pay £40! But i just cant afford it, So any advice guys?

Is that the tabby from Bradley Stoke? I saw her advertised on ******* this morning and remember thinking what !!!!less person has a kitten without giving her shots?!

Have you tried speaking to the Moggery? AFAIK they take in cats and are so stringent on homing them (so stringent that they wouldn't give me one as I rent and apparently i'd never find anywhere rented to take cats - i've had cats for 10 years and rented for that time with no problems!)

But anyway. Could you try the PDSA for shots and or spaying?

I must admit, we considered calling for her, as we're looking for a little girl since ours was PTS 3 weeks ago, but if she's had no shots, she won't have been treated very well and it concerns us she may have behavioural problems and we have the 2 boys (also cats!) to consider.

I hope you sort something soon. She looks beautiful in her picture.

I know it sounds heartless, but I wouldn't take her. If she has been allowed out, and is possibly pregnant, she could have feline AIDS or leukemia, both of which are fatal and contagious :(

If you feel you must take her, I'd strongly suggest you take her straight to your local (no-kill if possible) rescue, tell them she was dumped on your doorstep, you cannot keep her as your landlord won't allow it, so you are bringing her to them. Don't give your name or address (you don't have to), and don't leave with her.
Please excuse my bad spelling and missing letters-I post here using either my iPhone or rathr rubbishy netbook, neither of whch have excellent keyboards! Sorry!

Have you tried Cats' Protection League, RSPCA, PDSA, all of whom assist people to neuter pets? They do so in our area anyway.

RSPCA at Claverton Down Bath will take her I am sure.
!!!!!!!s who aren't responsible enough for themselves shouldn't have pets.
Did he say he was 'moving abroad' or being deported/transported or jailed? lol
Unless specifically stated all posts by me are my own considered opinion.

I notice on the advert I saw this morning there's no mention of her not being spayed and possibly pregnant!!!

Aghhhhhhh these people have made me so mad. You don't just get rid of a pet because it doesn't suit anymore. What? They only decided they are moving abroad tomorrow, today?

    Thank you for everyone replies!

I have spoken to the RSPCA, PDSA, LOCAL VETS, CATS PROTECTION plus many others!

No one is currently able to help or Not got back to me, Hence why i am asking here! Apprently she also has a issue with her back leg!

I'm hoping to get her sorted a.s.a.p, As if i didn't take her she was going to a breeder or being dumped!

I have also been asked to not give his contact details out / Or advertise the animal further until she has been checked, Because he might panic & not take her somewhere safe!
