Well I am thoroughly demotivated now...my tax credits have been cut in half due to earnings last year (Gone from £400 to £200 - pretty much all of this is childcare). This has really scuppered me, I have had to ask DD's dad for financial help
I know she's his daughter and he should be paying etc but I never wanted to be in a position where I relied on his money (he is terrible with money and he is why I have the CC debts I have now).
I am not going to earn anywhere near as much this year as the motor trade is dead quiet at the moment. I am just going to have to push push push and work my a55 off. Ex has stumped up the cash with no arguments whatsoever. In fact he was so nice about it I started bawling my eyes out!
I can't help but see this as a failure, I know I should be thinking otherwise and that he SHOULD be paying, but I have been so good the past year I have been on my own I was so proud of myself
Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -

Ask them to base it on this year, we did that when we had another wage coming in and it was much easier, they did warn me that I may have an overpayment doing it that way but that never happened. You have my sympathies, my TC were cut by over £50 pw back in april and I had no idea how we would manage. Keep your chin up, get a regular payment plan in place from ex and start to see that it is your money for DD and not a hand out
