Hello chums,
oh dear it seems that a good few of us are a bit down and in a pickle as my old Mum would say.
NPM you are a lovely Mum and I've never met you but I think we all know how much you care about your little boy and how well he has come on in leaps and bounds over the past few months .Its never easy when a child has problems, and blaming yourself won't change anything, least of all Noah, just think how much joy he brings to your lives and focus on that .As for yourself I dare say that lots of folk are in much the same situation .My son-in-law is a terrific chap as long as he doesn't have to meet new folk or be in a social situation.Amongst folk he knows he is comfortable, but it takes him a long time to relax.Yet he is the first person I would phone if I needed help.He doesn't say a lot, and is very quiet but he does so many things without making a fuss and adores my DD and his large and noisy tribe of children.
This afternoon we had to go to Jack's school as he was picking up a prize for Geography and I know that if I hadn't gone along Simon would have found it difficult to go in the school as he just isn't happy outside of his 'comfort zone'.But as I was there he was O.K. and his little boy Jack was beaming when he looked to see who had turned up and saw his Daddy there. So you are not alone when it comes to 'social' times there are lots of things Simon can't cope with that I help out with as I know how inside he is suffering. It has taken him 13 years to feel comfortable about going to my eldest DDs house at Christmas or family 'do's' only because he is so shy and retiring but he is now quite relaxed about going there and he actually enjoys himself.
Tomorrow I am off to see my sis-in-law in Faversham as my niece Lorraine is over visiting from Mexico and is staying there for a few days before she goes off to see my brother in France.I haven't seen her for about 6 years so I'm looking forward to that.
NSDs today as I am saving as much as I can towards our holiday only 27 more days to go,hope the weather brightens up a bit ,getting fed up with all the rain now
Have a good evening everyone and <<hugs>> to those who aren't feeling so well at the moment
Cheers chums JackieO xx0 -
Good Evening,
sounds like todays thread has been very theraputic (sp?) for different people for different reasons. which is a good thing right? We are all different and cope in different ways, as long as you keep smiling and learn from the situations we can only grow stronger.....don't know if that sounds right but IKWIM

Bird update for RR. It hasn't landed on my balcony so far today, but I have seen it flying around. I've left some chopped up nuts out there just in case.
I forgot to say earlier, but when i was walking back from where my minibus lives I noticed that there were blackberrys on the bramble bushes, and they were ripe! normally they appear sept time here! I helped myself to a handful

Bitsy- nope not a penny. Have found out he has taken 6 chicken breasts 1kg of drumsticks, 8 sausages, 2 packs of bacon!!! When he gets his housing benefit which they are back dating he will hand over all of that as rent, but his mum has been buying his food for him - how does he need to eat so much! Hopefully after my explosion yesterday he will think twice!

So one dead bird wasn't enough Killer cat was eyeing up a poor fledgling blackbird. Cat is now contained but baby bird is still bumping around the floor. Don't want to interfere to much as parents were squawking at the cat BUT if it can't fly it's a sitting duck for next doors cat
