NPM - My DS is only suspected and I know how hard I find it with him sometimes. As everyone has said you're a fab mum - just look at how far Noah has come from when he was initially diagnosed and you'll be happier. I agree with the continum thing (spelling?!) . My OH is a doctor and has survived 20 years in the army - I think he is definately high up there on the spectrum. But its not stopped him. His Mum / Father were probably on it too - its the love and hugs and patience that matter, not what a form says.
Got loads to do today - skip run this morning, attacking the bedrooms and the hall today - we live in a bungalow. Found my DS2 is turning into a mini GOK WAN on Saturday - he's so cute. Doctors this morning, and then back to the cleaning and clearing. Dog is fed up as its raining outside, cat 1 went for a jolly outside last night - didn't find him for a good few hours - I was concerned because he's 14. Washing from yesterday still drying on the airer. Might just grab a slice of toast before I head out.
Hugs for all xxMe, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0 -
Morning all
Bit late on here this morning. Have been up since 06.15 am as I wanted to walk the big dog early. Really quite enjoyed it although it's grey and windy here. He's a lovely boy and I shall miss him when he goes back.
DS is having HM doughnuts for breakfast, I've had porridge. Plans to day is doctors for bloods 1st thing, then the gym, housework and ironing. Dinner tonight is leftovers and something from the freezer.
NPM hugs hun and chin up.
Big hugs to anyone else who needs one have a good day all.

Well I have been gently pottering and have managed some housework/ sorting in a bid to find that wretched report. No luck though:mad:
Very dark and blustery here today also but hoping it will dry up as I have all the duvets to wash. Right-e-o onwards and upwards. Have a good day xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Morning all,
Horrible day here, feels like winter again.I'm going to get wet in a minute taking the dog out
We had gammon in the slow cooker yesterday-there is some left for tea and I'll make some soup from the stock.
We had visitors yesterday,DS2s ex gf Mum & Dad.It was his birthday, and they brought him a big card from 'the bump' that said Daddy on,and a copy of the 4d scan from a couple of weeks ago :j.He was thrilled with the card, then we all watched the scan-amazing what they do these daysHer Mum asked if I would make some bunting for the baby shower in a couple of weeks so of course I said yes,but need to get a bit more pink material.
Molly- hope you find the letter.
NPM-(((hugs)))
Have good days all-lets hope the rain stops soon.Off I go to get drenched:rotfl::heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Morning all
Bit grey here but not actually raining.........yet! Had a nice afternoon yesterday as we went to see the Beryl Cook exhibition at the museum and art gallery. Really enjoyed it and it was free. Very OS. We left the car parked off Park St and walked up to Clifton village as there was a massive sale of train books in the Oxfam bookshop there. Eeek! cue very happy OH rummaging for ages and of course he bought a couple.
Walking back it rained heavily so we turned smartly into a coffee shop and enjoyed a drink (and cake for OH) until the rain stopped. Got back to the car in the dry.
Toad in the Hole for tea with broccoli and cauli cheese carrots and cheat roasties. Yum!
We had a glass of wine Sat night but now have had 8 drinkless days....
I am hoping to walk half an hour every day and go to the gym twice a week on the Active Choices GP referral thing. Wish me luck!
Have a good day all.

Morning all
Just up out of bed, worked last night and then just sat and watched the tv for a while and read my book in bed so didn't go to sleep till about 1 - slept till 8 though and feel like I had a good night's sleep.
DDs bedding in the wash, she has gone to Alton Towers with her pal, they left yesterday to stay with friends in Halifax and will drive down this morning, back to Halifax tonight and then home tomorrow. The weather is bright and sunny so will put the bedding on the line but it's forecast for rain later.
Using anything in the fridge for the next couple of days, should be some interesting meals! Dentist at 12 and then will attack one room in this house (have decided to do 1 each day).
Hope Monday is good to you, take care. XX0 -
Morning:D
Thanks everyone for your kind words:A
He has slept quite well as I think he was overtired. I think the whole weekend was too much...he had his school disco on Friday night then he went to his dads who thought it was a great idea to take him to Blackpool on Sat as a treat:o Yes it was a great idea but that coupled with the usual birthday stress made things difficult for Noah, cue the epic meltdown yesterday.
He is always mega stressed at the last week of term anyway due to things being different and the hols coming etc.
I dont think I am going to bother getting diagnosed as it wont change anything.. On the form I filled in, the general average population score 16.4. But 80% of people with autism score 32 and above. I scored 41:eek: so they are 99.9% certain i have Aspergers....not autism as I never had the associated language difficulties. I already know anyway that I have difficulties, even going back to being a child I never knew how to join in with other kids and was quite lonely and bullied. I hate socialising and if i get invited to a party my first thought is what excuse can I come up with to not go. I hate anyone coming to my house esp uninvited. I used to think I was a control freak but now I see it is part of my condition. I have lists of lists or I cant manage lol. I cant do social chit chat at all. If I go somewhere new I have to do a trial run first so I can picture where I am going. I have no spacial awareness at all and tried to learn to drive for years but despite getting full marks in theory test I could not get my head around the manouvres and proximity issues. Writing all this down it is blindingly obvious. but being diagnosed for definate would not change anything. i can see now that I have self developed coping mechinisms over the years and it has never been a huge problem to me.
Anyhooo today I plan a massive tidy up mission before school hols start;)
Lots of washing and TD to do also and smelly hamster to change:cool:
Spaghetti and meatballs for tea here as it is monday;):o
hugs to all who need them inc Lou who seems to be having a terrible time x0 -
Morning All,
Grey, wet & windy here too, so think a duvet day is in order, which is just as well as I am shattered after yesterday. It was our twin niece & nephews third birthday & SIL invited all the family round for a buffet lunch. Thought I should make a bit of an effort so shower, hairwash & blowdry, warpaint & proper clothes & I was worn out before we left homeStill it was a lovely lunch with nice people & the kiddiwinks were great & so excited by all their presents.
Today no-one has to go anywhere so we've had a bit of a lie-in & it will be a lazy day with freezer roullette for dinner.
HH have copied that recipe & will be having a go at them when I've got a bit more energy.
NPM ((())) all mum's worry about things like that at times, you are the perfect mum for Noah & maybe the fact that you share some traits is what makes you so able to deal with them as you do x
Hmm my mind has gone blank so shall scatter hugs, spoons & hi5's willynilly & trust that they shall fall in the right places
Happy Monday all

Afternoon All,
This is my first post in the dailies, I hope everyone is well and I hope I get to know you all a bit better.
I am here for inspiration as I want to get back into the OS way of things again. I have recently become a mum to be and my OS cooking has slipped because I am struggling to eat a fair few things - which in turn my hubby is suffering living of convenience foods
My house is always in CHAOS which I need to change (tackling living room and kitchen tonight - I aim to keep on top of these so they are clean with the minimum of effort!)
I love cooking and baking and aim to get going again this weekend with some goodies (I definately need to do a full storecupboard check as I am full to the rafters)
I am also wanting to start my hm wine / beer again in next few weeks (wine should be ready next year after baby is born).
