hi all was fiddling about trying to find best price and realised I've booked the flight on the Friday instead of the Sunday and can't fly on the friday as it's last day of term (don't want them to miss any school) the sunday flight is the same price. Can't ring ryanair til tomorrow and if I do manage my booking it will cost £160. Has anyone had an success in ringing (which in my case now will be 9 am tomorrow) up customer services and them moving the flights. I know it's entirely my fault but am hoping they may be sympathetic as I've only just booked them

The thing about Ryanair being a low-cost airline is that a sizable chunk of their income is derived from booking mistakes.
You could always waste a phone call and see if they will bend but if it was me and its possible I'd just take the kids out of school a day earlier than planned (lets face it they're not really going to miss much).0 -

Glad to see that you know it's your fault no Ryanair's, good luck with finding new flights.0

well shiver me timbers - rang at 9.00 am and they've moved my flights to the sunday for just £10 admin charge in total. I started the conversation with "I booked some flights yesterday and have had a complete brainstorm and booked the wrong day and I can't believe how stupid I've been..." and she said as I'd phoned as soon as i could she would do it for the 10. I nearly didn't post this update because i realise I've been really lucky and wouldn't want anyone to rely on this happening for them. I had originally looked to change online but couldn't face paying the £160 as it would break my heart as I spend my life trying to get anything at the cheapest possible price. I think it made it easier because the flights were the same price.0

by the way the new flights would have cost £191 for the 4 of us - that was for the outbound journey only0

So Ryanair do have a heart and a sensible one at that - well done to them!0

Great result, nice to see somebody being honest and not blame the web site or some other excuse that it wasn't them. Top marks to Ryanair for not overcharging for something that takes a minute to do. We were caught up in the ash cloud with Easyjet last year and was amazed at the speed they amended paperwork and printed it0

Just goes to show what a polite phone call can achieve
Full marks to Ryanair & full marks to melb for coming back on the forum & posting an update.
P.S.
Fly lots with Ryanair can't fault them at all.0 -
That's a great result! There's usually a hefty fee involved if you want to change flight dates, lucky you
I think alot of it depends on the Staff member that you speak to, sometimes they use their discretion (like when they let me off from paying a overweight baggage fee a few years ago). 0
