e900 unlock question

Hi
I bought an unlocking clip off ebay for my new e900 which is locked to o2
I heard they were really easy to use.
I am really dumb when it comes to mobiles but i thought i would be okay with this.
I have put it in the side of the phone and turned it on, but it still says invalid sim when i put my voda contract sim in.
Can anyone help please?

Just to add that i am putting it in the slot where the charger goes,is this right?

If it's like the one I had:

1. Remove SIM card from phone.
2. Switch phone off.
3. Switch phone back on and plug clip in within two seconds.

If the handset freezes, you know that it is unlocked.

It says
1 switch fone off
2 put clip in then switch back on within 2 seconds
wait 5 seconds and it should be unlocked
but nothing is happening

is there a red flashing light on the clip or not. there are a couple of different ones.

I have now tried it both ways but it still isnt working

No flashing light,its just plain black

try leaving it in longer, after pressing the power button.

if nothing is happening then the hex is dead, this is why we test them after making them but most people on ebay but them in and just send them out.

Just tried again,but nothing works.
Will have to get back to the seller and hope that he will exchange it.
