wowzers we spend about 100-120 a week :( Me, girlfriend and small dog...

I need to address this I think... although that does most weeks include a £15 blu ray that gets ebayed once watched

Buying a video every week and ebaying it might be an expensive way of doing this, both in money and time when compared to using a service like lovefilm.com?

Me and my OH spend £60/£70 a fortnight on our online grocery order. That's a few treats and any washing powder, dishwasher tablets etc we need.

We do buy fresh fruit and veg weekly, and a loaf every 4/5 days. We buy 2 x 4 pints Cravendale with the shopping and it lasts us the 2 weeks.

So I'd say between £70 and £80 a fortnight so, about £20 a week per person?

  • Wow, its interesting to see the difference between what some people spend. I would love to spend £10 a week like yvonne13 but somehow I don't think that is going to happen!

I do find it difficult because I don't drive, so I have to buy small and often, so buying big bags of things and in bulk etc is difficult.

I think I might try the online shopping route, as doing a large monthly shop and then buy bits each week sounds like it could be the best plan for me.

Does anyone know if Tesco or Asda do free delivery over a certain amount? Google isn't telling!

havent use Asda. Tesco im not aware of being free but if you can handle a late night delivery (between 8pm and 11pm) during the week its only £3.00 last time i used them.
