Help-What HDD/DVD Recorder?
Comments

Digital HD/DVD recorders have freeview built in, I am not sure what's available with 2 freeview tuners as we have a TV with freeview we can watch one channel and record another.0

To pause live tv you can get away with a dvd recorder that can write to dvd-ram discs, like a Panasonic.
They act like a hard drive, not many people outside Japan know that, and if it were left to Philips, and the dvd+ brigade, no one would.

We have got a Phillips HD/DVD 250 Gb DVDR3460H/05 and it has been great. I don't know about Sky, never used it, and we are not in an area where we can receive Freeview yet.

Hi,
We have a Toshiba RD XS 34 we have had it about a year.
It holds about 70 hours on the hard disk
It also records on -rw
You can timeslip a programme so that if you start taping it and want to watch the beginning while you are recording it will carry on.
You can edit and create chapters and titles.
It is the best gadget I have!! :T :T
Oh can't record sky and watch a different sky channel as we don't have a twin tuner.
You can record from sky and watch normal tv channels or record normal tv and watch sky.
Hope this helps.[0
