They accept the recently deceased and last week, the gave Walt Disney's frozen head one of their gold cards so I'd just give it a go."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0

Yes they do, my wife has just received hers, although on the application they ask for total household income so my income was taken in to account and that have made a difference:):pB&SC No. 298

Yes they do, expect a fairly low starter limit - no immediate decision seems to be their acceptance model, this way they can ring you and offer you their payment protection product and ensure you pay by DD.0 -
i applied for vanquis and just havent followed it through. they phoned me and they have to have a landline number - i dont have a landline and were most adamant about it being paid each month by direct debit and i dont have the sort of bank account for that.
they told me to go and sort it out and call them back but i havent. just cant be bothered with it all. and they keep calling and calling0 -

It isnt compulsory to pay by DD although you can understand why they prefer it. You can just insist you will pay on receipt of the statement each month).0 -
When I first had the card, I paid across the counter at the post office, but this was costing about £3.50 a time. So I am now paying by dd. What bank account have you got that won't allow dd,s?0

my partner applied for one, he is on a good salary but has some defaults arougn 2007 and 2006 but since then paid off all bar one debt, but he was refused. Applied online, got a yes, got the paperwork and signed it and sent it back only to get a letter a few days later saying sorry we cant offer you a card and will not enter into discussions just check your credit file. Have done that and only thing outstanding is the one debt which is being paid monthly on a DMP. So suppose it sound like luck of the draw!0
