My dogs have occasionally embarrassed me by peeing indoors away from home, often homes that don't have any pets to cause marking. I put it down to uncertainty on their part being in a new place and their usual signs at home are they'll wander around the exits when they want to go out and i'm no doubt also too distracted at the time to notice other signals their giving instead.

    She has been spayed already.

We go to my MILs every Sat and have done since we got her. She always comes but is never usually upstairs so up there is like a playground to her. She runs around in and out of all the rooms so maybe its just too much excitement for her!

It makes me feel so bad as shes trained at home and i hate people thinking shes not well trained. Esp my in laws who i know are just thinking 'if this is the grand job shes done with the dog the grandchildren will be a nightmare!'.

I shouldn't fret too much, it happens. My brothers dog who in his own house is perfectly trained, never sets foot out of the kitchen unless invited, wouldn't dream of ever going onto the furniture and has never had an accident indoors since they got him walked into MIL house, pee'd straight up the kitchen cupboards and spent the night esconced on her best chair.
Luckily MIL is a dog person and took it reasonably well but they were absolutely mortified and on their visits since have taken him out every hour to be on the safe side. No idea what triggered it as he's never done it before or since.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
