We could have done with a diary.... just get a card with your next appointment date on it.

Mind you.... the chemo was self-administered at home.

I should mention at this point... they kept the old; my replacement wasn't able to take on everything I'd been covering, so they'll get a few days practice with the well old before the ill old's delivered back... didn't want the old ending up back inside through poor levels of care from siblings :)

I hope i am reading this right.......a sibling moved in to take over whilst you went away? I feel a rota coming on ;)

Would read mos if we still got any papers. I like a bit of easy reading and some guilt about someway I abuse my body oin the Femail bit. The You is fun.

burning has halted as we found a nest. Its against the rules to disturb nests. No burrows or anything fun have been uncovered, but we know there was a vixen in there last summer, and thought we'd seen a flash of fox earlier in the year. We also got a fleeting glimpse of one of chickens who we thought had been got by something. Instead she's gone feral. good luck to her, its a tough world and I'm impressed she's coping!

I am no officially in the market for a couple of goats. Probably pygmies.

Wow...a feral chicken.....didn't know such thing existed. I am guessing you have no foxes at your place so she has survived OK......can they fly a little bit too?
I am in the lucky position of having the book.... the man who wrote the book .... I am using the tools photographed in the book .... and there are two big samples cases containing every example in the book, the original items actually made by the teacher, with those tools, photographed in the book.

This sounds great.....I am guessing a resi weekend of learning etc?
I hope you are enjoying it.

we did have foxes. some of ours fly a little, others not at all. This one was a surprisingly heavy bird to have flight, but none the less she does. :)

well, it tastes healthy any way. Its better with mushrooms in IMO, but looks dreadful then, without it looks beautiful. I'll eat it this late in the year, but most people prefer it with the freshest youngest earliest nettles. Me, I like free food

    Ghastly.

It started with chicken (I very rarely eat chicken midweek) and went via me thinking I wanted some thing a bit piquant. I have no garlic, but I think I fancied something like ginger and cashew nuts and pak choi and a bit of heat and instead I guess I was still thinking east, as I delved through the five, yes five, bottles of oyster sauce it turns out I have, to soy sauce (another rare thing for me, I love it but limit it) and rice wine vinegar, and chilli and a bit of sugar (another thing ''I'' don't eat) some tomato puree (nothing fresh).

It tasted like a monster munch crisp flavour....which is ok for crisps less ideal for food,

so I started flinging things at it, not sure what by that point. That never works. :o

    I ate a banana.

so gdb, now you know what dog-dog and big dog are, any thoughts on whether our next should be a bedlington terrier, a whippet or a saluki?

Pretty sure we'll plump for a bedlington. but a whippet would be way easier.

Personally, I would buy a cross, or a mongrel. The breed I'm most interested in are Labs, and they have some terrible hip problems because of the way they are being bred. Ofc, they are breeding the hip problems out, but what are they breeding in instead? I have no idea about the breeds you mentioned, but unless you are interested in showing I can't see why you'd bother with a pedigree.

Labradoodles seem quite fun - two intelligent breeds of dog combined. I'm more interested in temperament than looks.

MIL got a small mongrel from Battersea. She's as tough as old boots and has a very affectionate temperament. (The dog, not MIL.) We go for 5 mile walks on the heath, which is good for us, and the little dog bounds along and particularly enjoys barking at the squirrels. At the same time, she's good with traffic. I took her along for the charity walk in central London last Sunday, and she was good as gold off the lead. (Still talking about the dog, not MIL.)
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I like mongrels and cross-breeds too. My dog (whose photos I have posted on here before and whom you can see to the left of this post) was a labrahound. Wonderful temperament, and very easy to exercise - you throw the ball, the greyhound half runs after it and the labrador half brings it back. :D

Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
