I went in a house that was the subject of a property !!!!!! show today, with the people who bought it. They were REALLY nice people....makes me want to watch the episode with them in. They'd had work done by a builder we may or may not use for the Wreck and were shoing us the stuff they'd had done by him.0

well, the car breaks again
Oh, poor you!Is it serious?
I'm not sure I made the right decision this week. I put the devil I know back on the road with a new MoT for £500, when I could've had a 40k on-the-clock, one owner motor of similar ilk for just £1k more. Trouble was, it wasn't an estate, and we need a shed on wheels.
We did that before; bought a hatch version of a rather girly car.I hated it, but DW said it was great.
I still sold it0 -

The tank still needs emptying, but the water that leaves it is ...supposedly..drinking quality.

The thing is, though its expensive and frustrating you are getting experience...its good to get to know the sound/smell/feel of various different problems.
This is the same as last week, came back from the garage and they were certain it was nothing. I paid the 1hr+VAT and it drove fine for a week. Didn't drive it yesterday and today it did the same thing again. It's a loose wire and probably a broken switch. It's definitely electrics. The wipers don't work and neither does the radio. They are on a different relay so not sure. The battery light lights up when I press on the brakes :rotfl:
I would use it except the wipers don't work, which is kind of essential. It's going back to the garage tomorrow and I think i'm booking a car mechanic lesson for next weekend.:rotfl: :T

My parents dont bother with theirs either.
They did to start off (it was the first one they'd had and the old owners said once a year) but other opinions soon said just leave it. They have, and no trouble in the last 10 years.0 -

I guess it is the undesirability of "trouble" that encourages regular emptying.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Googled for sunflower harvesting, think we may have a go next year.
Though previous gardening attempts are not pointing to success.
All those fuschias didn't survive, despite being hardy.
2 of the 4 acers didn't last the Summer.
Busy lizzies got blight.
Even the mint and parsley, that I thought had survived the Winter, has been killed off.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Oooh exciting. Could you PM me to say which episode of which show, if you feel that wouldn't be inappropriate?Oh, poor you!Is it serious?

Yes you have made the right decision. With your lifestyle the way you describe it, you need an estate. If you got a hatch, you'd be frustrated every time you had a load of stuff that wouldn't fit in properly.Be careful, hamster bite is quite painful.
And draws a lot of blood too. (Recent memories of covering DD's finger with plasters while the tears poured down her face and she howled with combined pain and betrayal.)

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0
