    Sounds like the film "Inception".

The best film of the year- one of my all-time favourites. There's a youtube video with a split-screen showing the different dream levels at their proper speeds!

It's public domain. So you could read it on kindle / ipad /computer etc http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/12163 free.

All H G Wells work is worth reading.

It's also downloadable free on mp3 at

librivox audiobooks are read by volunteers so I can't verify the quality but if you spend a lot of time driving it's a useful way of absorbing a good read (if you can call it that).

    :) poor wet ferrets.

With a second machine, it still needs cleaning and filters done a lot but not necessarily before you put the next urget wash of the thing you want to wear that night....

There is a commercial machine of 6.5k on ebay, but thing thats too small, I was thinking more like 2Ok. loads. There is an amzing 150 kg load one for £15 k, I suggestted to dh we get it, and by 50-60 pairs of sheets and just wash the bedding once a year. We could hang it out instead of bunting for may day or something

Great fun this morning, middle son's new trousers didn't feel right so he wouldn't wear them, he has had to put on his trousers from last term (thank god they still fitted!) and then with the change of uniform as the school has been made an academy (boo hiss), he wouldn't wear the new jumper either. This is mainly due to temperature, he has an exemption from wearing the blazer but so far, has not been given an exemption from wearing the jumper.

Maybe it could be worse.......

Add me to the Excel geek list.

I do all my company accounts in Excel. I just put my total in and it breaks it down (net, vat) then totals it and calculates vat quarters and year end.

I've not been trained in it but just learned what i needed to know and if i can tweak my accounts to make it better/easier, i do.

I do my monthly in around a quarter of the time it used to take when i did it by hand and its far neater.

I haven't done any VBA code as i haven't needed to yet but might have a go one day.

Do you know of any beginners tutorials Lydia? Most the ones i've seen tend to use a bit much " advanced geek" talk.

    :) poor wet ferrets.

Ferret bedding is basically very old towels & stuff like that. When it's washed, one must follow through with an empty hot wash to 'sweeten' the machine. Failure to do this results in something even the most fragrant fabric conditioner cannot cope with! _pale_

Just record a macro and then press Alt+F11 and you will see that you can already write vba.

I can't believe everyone is still so noughties with IT - all my staff is now in the cloud on google docs so I can access and work on it anywhere with a web connection.

MY monthly budgeting spreadsheet is a little scary when I have paid out over 40k on builders and materials for each of the last 2 months
