Ahhh, we have wasps in our bee hive. Its been a problem for a couple of weeks now but today is horrid. We have especially gentle bees bred for ease of numpty novice bee keepers like us I expect...I wonder if they are just TOO gentle to protect themselves against the wasps. They are so gentle that I have not been stung once this summer by them (been got a handful of times by the bees that live in our lawn) despite not once having suited up. Its not natural...I'm no bee whisperer!0

Old ended in a charity hospice.
It also transpires that Attendance Allowance could have been claimed for over £20k in the past 10 or so years.... which wasn't ever claimed as they're not the claiming sort (nor knew about it, but just muddled along, cutting stuff out of their life as it was no longer possible).0 -
I've seen no end of wasps this year - more than I've ever been aware of before. They're everywhere.... even a sleepy one on the loo pedestal mat the other day.0

I am looking for the "slytherinsh" post and can't find it.

It describes half the people I know.

Another report of fewer wasps this year. We usually have loads but cut down the plum trees in the garden last year so I thought that was why we had less, but now I have had it brought to mind I realise that the greengages are wasp free and there is no signof the enormous european wasps(????) that have been here the last few years.
Might be safe for the Spirits to go out on a picnic at this rate.0 -
Thinking about it we don't have many round the fruit trees. Perhaps they are all in the hive?0
