Morning all, so a new month and new starts again and all that ... I'm off to reset my signature for another new months challenge, I am really pleased with how much money went in the mortgage pot in March, not sure that April will be quite as successful with being off work for two weeks
In other news ... I spent a lot of time googling last night and have decided that today is day one of a detox  I read up loads on Zoe Harcombes diet and it makes an awful lot of senseI know I couldn't maintain it long-term but I need a kickstart to get back to my diet and also if I'm honest I could happily spend my whole day eating sugary stuff / chocolate, so I need to try and get rid of those cravings, then I hope to go back to my ww plan by the end of the week and use my points wisely on proper healthy meals rather than on snacky junk
So the rules of it are .... its for 5 days, I am allowed unlimited quantities of allowed foods but need to try to keep it to 3 mealtimes. The allowed foods are; water, vegetables (not potatoes or mushrooms), meat, eggs, 50g brown rice (per day), olive oil, herbal tas, decaff coffee/tea.
Its gonna be toughHaving read lots of reviews from other people the 5 days are a killer but do work to rid you of the sugar cravings
The diet claims that people lose up to a stone in 5 days (guessing thats obese men doing it), but at least a minimum of lbs. Now while I know this is almost all retained water thats fine, I know its not fat, but I want a kickstart and to get rid of the sugar cravings, they are my main reasons for doing it, the weightloss is an additional bonus
I'll be over the moon if I shift 5lbs though
So, day one, breakfast today is bacon and eggs, doesn't sound bad so far although a nice cup of tea with it would be niceTea without milk just doesn't do it for me ...
I don't think I'll have huge caffeine headaches as I drink decaff coffee anyway (not black though), but the sugar withdrawal is gonna be horrible, paracetamol are already at the ready. Wish me luck, will be keeping you all updated throughout this weekMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

So todays menu ...

Dinner: Rice and roasted veg
Forgot to mention I'm also allowed natural live yoghurt, yum :cool:Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Been to collect Mums dog (she's away for the night so he's here for a sleepover), went to Sainsburys to stock up on the stuff I am allowed to eat (£20), yesterdays shopping included lots of bread, biscuits etc, so ds will be having those instead of me
I got tonnes of veg, rice, olive oil, prawns, bacon and yoghurt. I've just cooked breakfast; 2 x fried eggs, 3 x fried bacon and cooked tomatoes, was absolutely gorgeous
Would have been better with a mug of tea and some ketchup on the side, but other than that it was very very nice

So far so good, none of the thumping headaches yet, although I think / hope I won't get them too bad as I drink decaff coffee anyway and rarely have coke. Lunch was gorgeous too and I have just had half an hours kip on the sofa, not sure whether it was due to a lack of energy (not eaten anything remotely calorific today) or a build up of late nights / early morningsMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Good luck with that Benben - you're a braver woman than me, although it does sound nice so far I don't think i could cope without tea and I get enough headaches as it is.
Meant to post my weight the other day - after a week with no chocolate whatsoever I have not lost an ounce :mad:It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Dinner was lovely, made it egg-fried rice in the end with peas, peppers, onions then had some more yoghurt for dessert. Almost wavered when ds got the custard creams out, but I was good. Off for a hot bath now and may do a manicure / pedicure.
Another reason I want to do it is I really want to get back under 11 stone again. Last week at WW I was 11 st 3.5lbs so if I can get back to starting with a 10 then I'll be happy and hopefully able to focus on ww againThink it might be a very boring 5 days foodwise though

Am getting peckish now, this is my normal time to snack once ds is in bed
I have just put todays food into the ww tracker and it works out at 23 ww points, so in some ways I am not being that amazingly good really, just no processed food today feels wierd to me
Once I'm back on ww I could have a day like this and then have a chocolate bar too and stay within my points

Morning all, detox day two
The mortgage payment has gone out today so the total amount in the signature has been duly adjusted
Todays plan involves an ironing mountain, a trip to the park, cleaning out the guinea pigs, trying to make sense of ds bedroom, mum collecting the dog this afternoon, sticking to the detox and crouchy coming over this evening
