Sorry Amber, I don't enjoy cleaning but am getting a bit more OCD like as I get older; a few years back I lived like a sutudent and the place was messy and I was quite happy, whereas now I get stressed if its not tidy, but I don't enjoy the tidying process :)

Right, a few more bits are on ebay, I have a few more to do but will leave them until tomorrow or they will finish at a silly time. Getting the ebay bug back :D

what does he hope to achieve ref this mediation? will HE have to pay the same amount too? or does he get it free because he is a crim:mad::mad::mad:?

Whilst it is a lot, you need to be sure where you stand from a legal point of view about being taken to court if you refuse.....

My situation isn't the same as BB's but does involves children and the courts. I wanted to take my ex to court to gain residency for two children and needed financial help.

My solicitor at the time said that the people who administer the legal aid system (now called Public Funding) wouldn't consider me for the funding if I didn't go ahead and have mediation beforehand. They said that even if it was a hopeless case and literally no way of sorting it via mediation, you at least have to try before legal aid is granted.

As I said earlier, my case was different to BB's but the figures she has quoted are accurate here too!

Thanks guys, he won't have to pay a penny Chev  I would have to pay because I have too much equity in my house. You'd think its a good thing to try and save money wouldn't you

The solicitor I saw at christmas said that the judge probably wouldn't be too impressed if I didn't go to mediation and "would tell me off" but that it was nothing to worry about, especially as I am not blocking him seeing ds when he comes out and am happy to return to the previous access arrangement, he may say that the crim is wasting their time as there is no issue to resolve. I genuinely think he is doing it out of spite for me being a witness against him

In other news, wow, can't believe about Whitney, such a waste ...

Been to Hobbycraft today, spent £45  although £23 of that was Hornby stuff for ds, he's paying me back with his Christmas money. The rest was stuff for Dads memory book.

Then stopped at Sainsburys on the way home, spent £6 in the cafe and £20 on milk, bread, new striplight for the bathroom light, batteries and shampoo (bought a reduced one a while ago (tescos own) and ds and I now both have really itchy scalps (not headlice, have checked ;)).

Now waiting for ebay bits to finish and am building a meccano model with ds :D

2nd item didn't sell despite 5 watchers so has been relisted already as its free this weekend. 3rd item went for £15 (this was one of the next items, and cost me £12 :)). 2 more to go, one has been relisted several times so not expecting that one to go, the other has a few watchers, both finish in 90 minutes or so.

    Thursday:
    • Dads memory box day
    Friday:

    Saturday:
    • Friends 40th party
    Sunday:
    • Dads birthday lunch
    • Banking update
Other bits not yet assigned a particular day:

This is just the basics I can think of that need doing this week, it doesn't allow for any last minute bits that come up or extra jobs that will be created (ie, more housework ;))
