But you are experienced at wearing them.
The chunkiness of the heel , the depth of the sides etc all make a difference.
I was saying that I find it harder to wear heels when I am heavier. The body balance is different. Heels change the alignment of your body.June challenge £100 a day £3161.63 plus £350 vouchers plus £108.37 food/shopping saving

Then you need to use better wording than,
"Whoops just seen that you are hefty! I think that's the problem."
Pointing out to someone who has already stated they are aware of their size that "that's the problem" isnt helpful in any way, and as a previous poster has pointed out its just plain rude !Bow Ties ARE cool "Just because you are offended, doesnt mean you are right" Ricky Gervais0 -
She described herself as hefty! She was suggesting that may be part of the problem! I was agreeing.
How can that be rude?
I had asked in the previous post if she was larger as I have problems with heels when larger. I then saw that she had described herself as hefty.
Hefty wasn't my word it was the original posters.
Apologies to the op if it offended her which wasn't intended.June challenge £100 a day £3161.63 plus £350 vouchers plus £108.37 food/shopping saving

The OP asked for advise on how to overcome a problem, not have it abruptly thrown back in their face !
If you had completed your post with " I overcame the problem by ...... or ........." then you wouldnt have been called rude, as it was you've done the equivalent of "do these jeans make me look fat " - 'No, its your fat that makes you look fat'
Not helpful at all.Bow Ties ARE cool "Just because you are offended, doesnt mean you are right" Ricky Gervais0 -
keep walking with them. I used to have the same problem as what you have now a couple years ago. And yes I wear socks with them for a few days and then it was all fine.0

I quite often go long periods (months) in flat shoes so getting into the heels can be a bit of a wobblefest sometimes. I find the key is just to wear them round the house, take smaller steps and let your hips do the walking...Proud of who, and what, I am. :female::male::cool:0

Gers, do you have laminated floors by any chance. I don't wear heels very often, I can just about manage in them when out and about, but walking on my own laminated floor at home....well a chubby bambi on ice springs to mind!0

No, no laminated floors, it's just that I haven't worn such high heels for years and years. I am getting better at it though at times I do resemble a man wearing heels for the first time. Trying really hard to NOT do the wide apart knees walk!
Persistence and practice, hefty or not! :j:j0 -
A few-days-later update - can now manage 15 minutes in the house! May take me a little while longer to be fully balanced and trained in the art of high heel wearing but I am getting there! They will be packed into the suitcase on Monday. :rotfl:
