Sorry to hear about the cat. It's a hard decision to make.
Does the school you work in offer welsh lessons? DH wants to learn welsh as DD's welsh has come on so well since she started school in January. (I'm sure he's just worried that DD and I will be able to have conversations without him when she's older)

Morning all!
Get the impression I've over reacted about the cat. She doesn't seem at all bothered by the reduction in her sight judging by the dead rabbit on the bedroom carpet that she was halfway through munching when I woke up. Will keep a very close eye on her and expect he worst sooner rather than later.
Spent all day yesterday moving furniture and carpet cleaning. I ache all over. Am not looking forward to spending today doing the same thing. Managed to get in eight hours at work in between running in through the door to say hi to OH before running out again to a party where I ate far too much cake before running back in through the door, grabbing the DDs martial arts gear and running back out again. When I finally made it hope for good he'd done a load of laundry, washed up and loaded the dishwasher. Kitchen still looks like a bomb has hit it and all evidence points to him having take out for dinner for the third time this week. Was feeling most appreciative until the discovery that he'd ordered another £250 of Landrover parts, the vast majority of which are not even vaguely necessary. They're all modification parts which make the inside prettier but thats it. I know why he wants them but the amount of money hes throwing at this thing at the mo is driving me nuts. And so its was implied that he'll be detouring home via a Land Rover shop to buy a brake pipe kit and a few plastic clips and wot not so am anticipating another £100 plus bill. Beginning to wish I'd agreed to do all the overtime available this summer rather than insisting that others be persuaded to do some to allow me a few evenings off. Get the distinct impression that the cash would have come in handy although at least I haven't paid out £400+ in childcare this summer so things aren't quite as bad as they could have been.
Have a v. late start to my working day today dso hopefully will manage to get a couple of things done before school. Need to sort the DDs out with several changes of clothes since they're spending the entire day at the stables on a natural horsemanship course. Its persistantly pouring which means they're going to get very very wet. Bet they still have a fab time though.
Hoping to spend my childfree afternoon tackling the house, not that I know quite where to start. Just the thought makes me shudder.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

Hello, I found you again. Not sure what happened but I haven't been getting updates in my subscriptions. Found you this morning only to discover you had done a moonlight flit without leaving a forwarding address (tut tut). Still I stalked you and found you. Now all I have to do is try to catch up.Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0

At the rate its going it'll be one giant box of Landy parts in ... one OH booted out the door. Am rapidly losing what little patience I have. Spent a couple of hours clearing tat out of the dining room. Went upstairs, shoved my head down the bog to scrape off the limescale. Came downstairs to find OH sitting at the dining table with an aray of grimy tools dismantling a brake cylinder armed with a hammer. Was not amused. Went back upstairs and vacuumed whilst swearing v. loudly. Was sooo cheesed off I moved the bed to hoover underneath it. Really wish I hadn't. It highlighted just how disgusting the carpet is. Will be borrowing schools carpet cleaner over the holidays although would much prefer to burn it. Still its dog hair free even if it is two tone with a crime scene-esque dead dog shaped patch at the foot of the bed where the old dear sleeps.
OH has departed to collect the DDs from the stables whilst I chuck something uner the grill for them to scoff in the 20 minute gap between them walking in the door and whizzing out again to martial arts. Hopefully they'll actually sleep tonight rather than popping in at 10:30 for a quick chat.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

This is what I don't understand. How does the carpet underneath our bed get covered in so much dust. I mean the gap between the carpet must be no bigger than 1.5cm and yet there is oodles of dust and carp gathering there. I rarely move the bed, I just CBA to deal with the bits I don't see on a daily basis
