Also had similar problem last week with my plusnet account. Worked fine one minute but then dropped the connection. Switched router on and off each time and it then connected ok. Been running ok so far this week.
    I'd rather be fishing....

Nobody can give you any help unless you do the tests already suggested and report back.
Have you run the test from the BT test socket?
Have you checked for noise on the line?
Sorry for the delay in replying, due to holidays.
Yes did the socket test and there is no noise on the line.

I find that if I switch the router on off and on the broadband comes back which I had to do at 7.45 tonight, as mentioned in a post above by another member.

They suggest that there may be electrical interference from appliances in the house, switching on at the same time as the broadband goes down, there are none. Nothing has changed in relation to electrical appliances in my house since I was with there sister company Metronet, and with them the connection never dropped.

Are you using the same router as when you were with Metronet?

Also, did you have to disconect/re-connect any cables when you moved to Plusnet? I had problems a while back (not with Plusnet) and it was because I had re-connected one cable in the wrong order with one of the the micro-filters. (I've got a few self-installed sockets and extension phone cables.)

Same router, no wires changed. Just been down 1/2 hour ago, switched off and on and its back on again! Still slower than the Voda dongle.

We had this on Sunday with plus net. Our download speed was 186kbps! We rung them and had the same conversation and they said whatever they did may take up to 72hours to have an effect but within 10 mins we were getting 792kbps and has been at that since. That is as good as it gets for us though, just hope infinity in September will give us the ability to download a film in less than a day!
