OK here, on the low side of normal for me, but certainly not dial up speeds. Has yours speeded up since you posted?0

reboot your router as a first step
......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

No problems listed on their status page
Usual things to check, reboot router, reboot pc, connect with network cable if you're using wireless, try modem router in BT master socket, if problem persists try the BT Test socket (behind the master socket) - could be an outside BT issue if it's raining and you've got a dodgy connection! - could be a BT exchange issue etc.

I've not had speed problems but yesterday and this morning, I twice had an error message whilst browsing saying "No broadband found. Please check we have set up your connection" or similar. If I close browser and re-open, evrything is hunky-dory again.0

Thanks for the replies, up and running again about 2pm.
I got through on phone and was told there were errors on my account and she corrected them and said it would take a day or two for them to get into the system, then later said it could be about 1/2 hour!
Then she said to take off the lower half of the wall socket and plug router cable into there! This reminded me of the problems with my friend's TalkTalk problems.
1.45pm I switched router off and back on 10 minutes later and all seems fine.
Have done a speed test with Uswitch which gives download 7.6 and upload 0.2. My Voda dongle gives upload speed of 0.3 and download of 2.2.
Thank you all for your help.

This is perfectly sound advice, the purpose is to isolate any problem on your own equipment or internal wiring/extensions. That way you can establish where the fault is. If it clears the issue, it's nothing to do with Plusnet. If it doesn't, then it's possibly a line fault.
Do you have noise on the line? if so report it to your line rental provider as a line fault (not as a broadband fault). No free lunch, and no free laptop

Been ok during the day, cut off again last night and again tonight! Not even running at dial up speed, nothing.
Will there be too many customers on the exchange with limited capacity?
Very poor service from Plusnet which I was told was good.
Having to use Vodafone dongle which is very fast compared to Plusnet.

Nobody can give you any help unless you do the tests already suggested and report back.
Have you run the test from the BT test socket?
Have you checked for noise on the line?No free lunch, and no free laptop

At 8pm last night my download speed was 800 upload 400. Im with plus net aswell. My speeds have been poor for a few weeks, ranging from 1200-2500 in the past its been 5500-6500, so quite a drop.
I need to spend a few hours getting to the bottom of it, by elminating wiring in my house.0 -
Plugging into and testing from the BT test socket is a five minute task.No free lunch, and no free laptop
