New series Ray Mears's WILD FOOD

I haven't watched it yet, I recorded it last night to watch at the weekend but I'm disappointed to hear that he did it in Australia. There is still so much wild food to be had in this country and it doesn't really convince people to go looking for wild food when it's not done here.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Last night's programme was about learning hunter/gatherer techniques from the aboriginal people who still have highly developed skills in that area. you won't be disappointed moggins - it seems that future programmes will be focussed on bringing these techniques hereStash Busting Challenge waiting for inspiration:D :j0

Yep - last nights programme was all about how the Aboriginies still carry the traditions which we have lost over here.
From now on, he'll be putting similar skills into practice in this country, so hopefully, it will be a fascinating insite.
ps - I'm SURE he's married as I heard that he had a daughter (or maybe two...?)
pps - ask me what I'D take on a desert island.... and MY CHOICE would always be RAY MEARS.... (Sod the latest book or CD collection!)...!!!!!
I LOVE the bloke.....!
pps - wasn't too sure about the botanist who was with him - he seemed a bit 'geeky', and I was CONVINCED that he HATED everything he was given to eat because he took the tiniest mouthful - I bet he chucked it as soon as the cameras were off him... lol!
