    Ray Mears is brilliant :)

I have to say it always amuses me when he lights fires though - he seems to find every available opportunity to do that! They're great programmes though :)

Yes, I'm planning to watch this. I like Ray Mears, although I can't help wondering if he still lives with his mum:rolleyes:

I know what you mean, she's probably always moaning at him for leaving muddy footprints on the lino and cooking badger droppings in the microwave.

Yes I saw it. It was based in Australia last night concentrating on how the Aborigines live. This will hopefully give an insight into how our own hunter gather ancestors lived.

Next week's programme is on WEDNESDAY instead of Thursday

I agree. Sorry, but I found this dull, dull, dull :(

Hugh Furry-Animal would have made a much better job of it.

After some lukewarm reactions above I was impressed with the programme. I thought the aboriginal women were wonderful. What a contrast to our separation from the earth.

Oh I don't know ... ... I'm seeing my friend's water lilies in a whole new light since the programme  ;):D

It's all a matter of perception really. He's set out to make a programme about wild food ... some may have expected it to be more akin to HFW.

Having recently read and enjoyed "Mutant Message Down Under" I was fascinated that the programme focused on the aboriginals. Especially fascinating was to see their skills, knowledge and techniques still being used today!! :T :T :T
