New series Ray Mears's WILD FOOD

On next week,

THURDAY 4TH JANUARY 2007, bbc2 8 pm.

a new series in which Ray Mears examines how people in the past found food,
Tonight, he compares the diets of modern men with those from the stone age.

I love finding free food ;)

    Yep, Ray Mears is brilliant. Always looks as if he is having such a great time but is also always constantly learning new skills.

    Perhaps what Ray shows is the money saving value of growing a fw veg yourself. You can grow fresh herbs even if you live in a flat for next to nothing. You can freeze them or dry them to have on tap.

    Fresh herbs really do improve your cooking though!

    on ray mears website the woodlore school of wilderness bushcraft he does some courses which look very interesting, i might be tempted to book one for the family they look great! much better for the kids than a 10 a penny hol to spain at least the kids will learn something useful :T
    proper prior planning prevents !!!!!! poor performance! :p

    a look around the Wilderness Gathering website should give you some good quality leads to follow, or try Bearclaw Bushcraft, or Bison Bushcraft in search engines
