Hmmmm...Let me see maybe because there not open Saturday, Sunday or Monday and I was just wondering if anyone had experienced the same thing. And you know where to take your crystal ball!!

but other dentists are different, some would charge and some wouldn't, some might have a 3 strikes policy and others might have a 1 strike and you pay for the missed appointment.

maybe earlier reply was a bit ott

I count that as being very helpful so thank you for taking the time to post. Unlike some of the other people on this thread.

Don't think I mentioned the word thousands :S.

No, you said "always", which blatantly wasn't true.
I was born too late, into a world that doesn't care

Dont go back and change your dentist if your that worried...I had a traumatic experience at my dentist about two weeks ago trying to extract a tooth which I was not prepared for and has an abscess brewing.....needless to say I didnt go back to have my scale and polish because I cant face that Dentist again.....if they try to charge me then I will put a complaint in about the earlier treatment.

Meanwhile Im going to register with another Dentist due to the trauma I suffered or attend local hospital who has a Dentist there.

Im on Income based JSA and so they can get stuffed for any charges they make on me I wont be paying that butcheress.
:D Advice freely given is rarely taken except on MSE:cool: Dont shoot the messenger:)

It's entirely up to you whether you go back for treatment or not and you are entitled to choose dentist you want to carry out the treatment but do you think that makes it OK to not only deprive another person of an appointment but to be responsible for financial loss to another person?

Out of common decency you should have told them you weren't planning to attend.

I was planning to attend, it was the receptionist that confused me about the appointment. I'm a week behind than the rest of the world.
  • I wasn't talking about you honey, we all make mistakes! It's the conscious non attending that irritates me.
