worst shopping trip ever

I totally agree about Waitrose, but I go in and shop and if I get lucky with a double wammy (mark downs plus the multibuy discount) I feel a real buzz. Sometimes I end up paying nothing or getting money of the rest of my shopping.
However I just can't resist trying to get my own back on T's for all those times I have been ripped off or recieved c**p service. One day I'll get lucky with a DTD.0 -
If your order is over £50 Waitrose offer free delivery on their website. My mum always uses them and often gets vouchers.0

Sorry, I confused myself... I read the poster wrong (my head translated it wrong) and the poster was going on about Waitrose while I went on about Ocado..0 -

It sounds like you got the right cashier tho, bless him.
Going off at a tangent here I have a somewhat happier tale to tell:
I was in Wilkinson's a couple of months back and waiting at the CS till to pick up an item. Little old lady in the Q behind me had to pick up a rather heavy item. I offered to give her a lift home as I was passing near her way anyway. Being of her generation she was a little hesitant in accepting at 1st but was SOO sweet and wouldn't stop harping on in the car at how no-one's ever offered to help her before, and giving it 'you wait 'til I tell my son about this' bla-de-blah.
Turns out she was 92!! She was soo sweet! I had to make a point of telling her as I saw her to her doorstep although it's fine with me she needs to be very careful accepting lifts with strangers and to keep a close eye on her belongings. Bless her!
What I mean to say is it costs nothing sometimes to spread a little happiness sometimes.
That's a great story!! and well done for stepping up for that lady.
I hate shopping in supermarkets & do most of mine online these days so any nightmare trips like OH's have by now been wiped from my memory banks. A few years ago I was in Asda's 'cos I like their homeware range and we have a huge store near us. I was wondering around minding my own business and had in my trolley: a red perspex box with a lid that I was going to use as a loo roll holder, and a large cooking pot that I needed to cook pasta for 20 people. One lady stopped me and asked me where I got the perspex box from, so I pointed her in the right direction. A minute later another lady stopped me and asked if my cooking pot was suitable for use in an oven! A few minutes later I was in the bakery section and a little old lady asked me to reach down a loaf from the top shelf for her! After a quick check to see if I was wearing a day-glo Asda uniform fleece I loudly asked if anyone else needed my help cos I was heading for the checkout! I must have one of those faces..... I still smile to myself when I think of that day!£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

lol people always think i work in a shop.. (i used to anyway) but i randomly get stopped by old dears and asked questions about stuff - last one realised i wasnt a shop assistant but caried on asking me why i thought one version of the hair spray was more expensive than the other.:rotfl:
i went to sainsburys the other day to fill up my car after dropping my DD at her dads - didnt realise it was just after 8pm and walk over to go in to pay.. expect the auto doors to open as just seen someone leave ... look into my purse to get my card and BANG face first straight into the door - look around and think why isnt it open?? ...... turn round and realised the other people going to pay were going to the window so sheepishly popped over there...(to the sound of sniggers)... tell her what pump.. £56..total .. hand over my 10p voucher and nectar card and then root in my purse for the cash.. shock horror - i only had £40 as had called on a customer earlier in the day and had to refund them some money unexpectedly and had forgotten id done it..... i panic and try find my credit card.... nope - had used it night before online and forgot to put it back in my bag... try find my debit card... nope - had gone the cash machine day before and put it in the back of my jeans - not the ones i had one this day............ queue forming behind me - i panic.. luckily id had my business debit card the day before too as id been the post office with some orders so had to pay on that card taking it overdrawn ... rushed back to the car feeling very sheepish and got in... only to set off and then stall! :rotfl: Then knocked the indicators on and the wipers in my panic to restart and move off.... i was SO glad to get home i tell ya :rotfl:
and all because i didnt wanna waste the 10p off fuel voucher so had waited to fill up till id gone that way dropping DD off. Lesson learnt to be more organised in future!!0
