hi,
could anyone tell me if the tassimo machine is worth buying or will it become another gismo that i will use once and file away?has anyone seen it cheaper than £79.99 cos i received a £20 refund voucher valid till 31/01/07 so it would be £59.99 but still have to justify £60 which may be better spent elsewhere if machine is not wonderful.many thanks for any advice.

I love my tassimo - used all the time. The best gadget we have bought and the only thing which is not shelved!!! The only thing is that the pods are not that cheap - if you use it as regular as we do, it can be costly, although look out for special promotions for 4 packs for a tenner. The hot choc, tea and cappuccino are the best!!!!!0

Agree with Wiggly.
We use ours every night. OH makes me a hot chocolate before bed and himself a cuppa coffee.
One of the best gadgets we ever bought. And we bought it when it was still £99.99. "Never save something for a special occasion. Every day in your life is a special occasion". _party_0 -

We love ours - not keen on Cappucinno but chocolate and espresso are wonderful. Be careful with the voucher though because I had one sent to me and it was £20 off full retail price.0

I bought mine last year for £100 of Boots points. I've used it about 3 times this year, the last time being after Xmas dinner.
Its now back in the spare room...........You've guessed it..............on the shelf!
Its not as great as people make it out to be, but fun as a gimmicky space waster.

I bought my daughter one of these last xmas, I think we are doing something wrong because the cappachino is yuk!!!! Can anyone tell me the correct way to use it, we have tried to follow the instructions but I am sure we arent doing it right!!!!0

have brought a few different brands of machines (from car boot sales) and within a month they end up on ebay
don't see the point of them although the uno uno was the best of the machines i hadDebt of £6300 cleared in 5 years, now ZERO0 -
We got ours just before christmas after trying the Dolce Gusto and Tassimo. The taste was similar to be honest but we plumbed for the tassimo because the pods seem to be cheaper when they're on offer, at the mo 4 for £10 at Tesco, but Boots also do the same offer. We absolutely love ours... Best thing we've bought for the kitchen in years! To err is human, to forgive divine!!!:A0

I got one for my parents for Xmas and I'd say might be an idea to just get seperate pods to try them as some flavours aren't that particularly nice so can be a bit of a waste buying the packs of 9, 16, 18 etc.
The hot choc is good... not tried cappuchino (but is just espresso with frothy top) and the Crema is a bit strong too. Not tried any others yet.
I got it for about £65 from Amazon but only paid £1 odd as had vouchers. The price has now gone up though so maybe keep a look out as it will probably go down again.

I do the milk first, then the espresso, then top up with hot water using the manual button. Tastes lovely to me especialy with a sprinkle of chocolate powder!!! By the way, do you take sugar or do you drink it straight from the machine??? If so, give it a little stir first as it makes the coffee taste better (the milk and coffee tend to sit on top of each other - iyswim!!)
For an mochachino (if you want one!) I add the hot choc one instead of topping up with water, but you do need a bigger cup though!!!0
