if you arent inspired you have no blood:)
devils bridge further up another cracking place and if you can afford the train journey to aberystwyth then go but only for the wetherspoons on the station when you get there as the rest of the place i dont like
new-quay is gorgeous the kids should love it

ive just come back from 3 days further north than you, lovely area ,lovely people

Unfortunately, it's a little run-down looking when you alight from the train (don't even venture into the train station toilets) - but the Plascrug leisure centre is good, it's surely worth taking a walk along the prom, there's the cliffside railway, the brilliant Stars shop, the small town museum, great Arts Centre, and some lovely arty shops along Portland street, I also like the music shop and for some reason I love that greasy spoon cafe on Pier street, the one with about a thousand items on the menu. I do also love the Wetherspoons, it is surprisingly good - and the only bar where customersqueue up in a line to be served. It's the tradtition somehow.
So, there's a lot of Aberystwyth I don't like, but a lot of Aberystwyth I do like. So I leave it to others to decide. :)

I agree it's worth a visit to Devil's bridge. However, you must be warned there's a lot of steps - downhill and then uphill (either direction is a challenge). So be careful of your footing.

There's also some touristy stuff happening at the top - some cafes and giftshops and whatnot but I didn't really take much notice of that the last time I visited! It seemed pretty expensive whatever was there.
