No problem if your buying 10 x slimfast then - 500 points

You know I should know the answer to this question but isn't the 50 points only applicable to purchases of toiletries and beauty products ?

I've bought 10 slimfast and £10 worth of toiletries and only 4 of the 50 pointers have been accepted.

Wasn't a Tesco magazine or any Tesco QS Health coupons at all in my local store, but did manage to pick up 7 discarded 30p off Lindt coupons and discarded receipts totalling 211 points (never found so many discarded receipts in my life - wish I lived near a Tesco, I'd go every day instead of every fortnight - had so much fun counting points on receipts it was like counting money. Oh I love collecting points... :-)
    Tesco points: 101 (£21.50, £19.50, £7.50, £21 & £5)
    Boots points: £0.28
    Pigsback points: 715 (4 xBoots£10 & 1 xPizzaHut£10, 2 x £10 clothing vouchers)
    Mutual points: 3417 (redeemed 8250)
    Rpoints:redeemed 28925 points)Cashbag:£8.91(£20)

Some1 on the other thread said these cant be used at Tesco unless you buy the product as its in their mag
I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!
  • the Lindt voucher is non store specific so can be used at Asdas without buying the product and in "theory" at Tescos too. Although I haven't tried.

As for the 50 point vouchers these are found in the health and beauty leaflet as per the other thread. As the quit and health and beauty vouchers can be combined together it is worth looking out for them in store.

Correct, Tesco tills won't accept them - just the same as with Tesco's own coupons if you haven't bought the product. But they do work in ASDA.
  • The Lindt bunny coupon does NOT scan at Tesco if you haven't bought it, should be ok at ASDA though. Extra points can't be used with health stuff, I bought two of the glucosamine with Chrondroitin today at £7.99 bogoff with a packet of paracetmol and was able to use 2 x £2 off healthcare for the quit packs and three x £1 off from the H& B leaflets so only £1 spend but the 50 points would not go through at all, so only for beauty and toiletries I think.

obviously didnt work for you Welshy but I was thinking on those lines -
if you buy a combination of the 2 offers (tolitries & healthcare ) the slimfast is 10 cans and if the SA says 1 x 50 point per item purchased I was thinking you had 10 slimfast and these could count towards the total items purchased.

( we have this problem with total items purchased and number of coupons using - so if get 10 x slimfast and a large pricd item it means I can you 11 coupons not just 1 for the large item )

    does this make sense ????
Thanks to everyone who posts comps :T

Someone else might back me up on this but I don't think these health & beauty type vouchers work with baby products.

This may have allready been covered but....

I managed to use the £1.25 quit pack voucher to get money off Johnsons BOGOF baby toiletries. We had to get the checkout supervisor over to authourise it. We argued that they were still toiletries and no where on the voucher does it stipulate that you can not use on baby toiletries. Well worth the argument to save £1.25 :)

Didn't manage to use two vouchers though as didn't want to push it ;)

if you put toiletries into their website the baby stuff does come up, therefore in theory you could use this to back your arguement.

Sorry to go abit off topic but i took all the little red sheets of stickers from the 'quit' pack to the nursey at my daughters school and the teacher was delighted with them. Better than throwing them away.
