I use the self serve tills so I can use quite a lot of them before the till starts to peep to get someone to authorise them. Luckily I have found a couple of SA that are in the general vicinity of the SS tills and they just come over and immediately let them go through without even checking to see if I have even bought the product (I generally do though as I wouldn't want them checking and scuppering my chances for the next few hundred times!!! LOL!!!)

I have both the Quit Kits and the Health & Beauty ones so that helps an awful lot as I just combine them to get the best amount off and because of this I generally end up in credit so I get a few extra things so that I am at least putting some money into their tills (even if it is only a pound or so!).

Still lots at Worksop too. But still no H&B there or at Doncaster Extra yesterday.
  • i didn't know where else to ask this, hopefully someone will know the answer.

i've bought some £4 kids blue vouchers off ebay. been looking at the auctions for full sets, menswear ones etc. but keep getting outbid. i only really want the kids clothes anyway.

quick question - can i use more than one? assume i can use a blue kids and a £6 quit one together for £10 off £30

if i spend £40 on kids could i use 2 of the £4 vouchers and a £6 from the quit pack to save £14?

if i bought a £10 off £50 from ebay could i use it along with the others to save £24 on a £50 kids spend? or even spend £60 and use an extra £6 quit voucher to save £30?

i've got a headache, can't work out which way would save the most money but before i try i just thought i should ask if i can use more than one of the same type in a single transaction?

Best advice I can give is either -

    1) buy other items value around £10 - £15 BOGOFs or half price stuff , lots of these in tescos at moment and put voucher stuff through first - this way you have packed them and if SA says anything you can say but Ive brought products which you have, and these are Tescos own coupons for buying the product - its such a good offer Ive stocked up.

    2) go to self scan - these beep after half your bill has been taken in coupons - I put the toiletries & beauty ones through 1st leaving me the £2 H/C one for slimfast, vitamins etc SA comes over cos youve exceeded limit say as above re buying product Tescos own coupons etc and Ive never had one refuse a voucher yet.

    bill today started at 20.57 BOGOF took it to 10.63 quit pack voucher left me 3.63 to pay ( 6 x lynx, 10 x slimfast,kitchen towel @ 69p ) vouchers used £2 h/c - Quit pack, 2 x 1.25 toiletries, 2 x 1.25 beauty

The self scan SA get to know you and in my case over ride the screen as soon as I get on the self scan - they know what Im buying and what im using - but I chat to them all anyway. This is for 2 local tescos. Be happy
Thanks to everyone who posts comps :T

That sounds right as long as the £4 off kids is on a £20 spend

Can anyone tell me about using the self scanners. I used one last week to use the quit pack vouchers as I can't find any health and beauty one (has anyone found any of these in Glasgow) . I scanned one voucher but when I went to post it the till started beeping for assistance. A SA came and authorised it and as she walked away I scanned the next one, the same thing happened and she had to come over again. Does this happen every time.
