  • I observed at my last tesco visit, the customer in front of me using one of her recent healthy living mailing vouchers to purchase vitamins.

So maybe I can combine the vouchers and use a point voucher too (when it arrives)

Yes, I've also been fine using the 40p MOC on the pump toothpastes. I've used one coupon per pump. Can you use beauty & toiletry coupons for the pumps. I can't remember

Does anyone know if there are any 'fragrance free' ranges on bogof at the moment please? My big sis starts chemotherapy next week and has been told she'll have to use non fragranced stuff, so when my leaflets arrive from the kind folk on here I'd like to get her some if I can.

    Thanks

    Karen

Sorry thought I was on the h&b thread but prob just as well to ask here

    Hi Karen

I use a lot of non fragrance well non chemical products but am also similarly obsessed with getting money off at TESCO and extra points. So the best guidance I can come up for you is there is nothing on BOGOF but I have been buying Toms of Maine Toothpaste at £2.75 is expensive but is great and money off and points is worth it and also Ecover do a handwash lavender I think that is nice and similarly non chemical so I'm afraid TESCO aren't big on non fragranced, non chemical products but this is at least a start........if you want non fragranced but chemical based then possibly 'sensitive' ranges might be your answer????? Hope you fing something for your sister.......

    On Saturday I bought...

    Johnson's shower gel x2 (2.59 bogof)
lynx shower gel x4 (1.88 bogof)
    carex handwash x2 1.38 bogof)

    used 3x £1.25 beauty and 3x £1.25 toiletries so £7.50 off = they pay me 77p!

Going to try for some more for my brother tomorrow hehe.

Does anyone dare do it without buying any other shopping?? Would they actually give you say 77p plus the shower gels? I know I wouldn't dare!

I very much doubt it. Also if the cashier got a figure like -77p on their till they are more than likely to call a supervisor over. Why lift your head above the parapet? Why draw so much attention to the loophole? Personally i find SOMETHING to buy, i work out what the minus figure is and then buy something just a bit more than the minus figure. If you have a home & family then there is always something you can stock up on. An extra few tins of beans, a few more cartons of UHT milk, cat food, dog food, bleech/cleaning fluid etc etc Anything that keeps.
  • I've done a similar thing before by handing over some vouchers and finding that the last one is about to take off too much money and effectively they owe me money. I just say something like sorry I didn't mean to give you that one and take it back. That way I don't draw attention to myself or the fact they are paying me to shop !

When that has happened to me in Asda, I have said "oh sorry" and quickly grabbed a handful of choccie bars that are near the tills in ASDA to make it back into plus figures.

In tescos when this happens i whip out my mobile phone top-up card and ask for a fiver to be put on to get it back into plus figure.

There is just no point drawing attention to yourself, the loopholes and coupon usage by getting a minus figure and expecting them to give you the change.
