    Thanks everyone :D

He is such a handsome cat, I love him to bits :D But he really is feeling sorry for himself! If he's not sat at the cat flap whining to go out he's curled up on my lap sleeping. He's been quite clingy this weekend and following me and OH around the house, am really hoping that when we take him to the vet tomorrow, they say we can at least take the collar off, even if they want to keep him in a few more days.

hostertlady - thanks for the tip re putting his foot in a cup of salt water, I actually had a brainwave to do it that way yesterday afternoon, and it is much easier than trying to use a paper towel. I have to hold him really tight though as he's not really one for being picked up and is very squirmy and very strong! But he tolerated it for quite a bit longer than I thought he would! He is defintely letting me look at his foot more now, he'd barely let us touch it before so am hoping it's healing well. Sorry to hear about your boy being shot, it's disgusting what some people will do to animals, absolutely makes my blood boil!! Hope he's on the mend now though :)
