Caxton FX Currency Card

Just a word of warning for anyone ordering one of these cards from Caxton FX. I ordered mine on 28th June and was told it would arrive in 7 days. I called early this week and was told it would arrive by today, it hasn't. I leave on Tuesday for my holiday and I called them again today and was basically fobbed off. They offered to refund the £10 card fee but I reminded them that I would get that back anyway when I load the card, so it was a somewhat empty gesture. It could still turn up but I now have to decide whether to chance it or order travellers cheques instead. We are going for a month hence wanting to use the card.

If anyone knows of a currency card that is issued immediately I would be grateful for the information.

Travelex Cash Passport Globe Pick it up at the airport or any Travelex outlet if you order with at least four hours notice. Call through to the pickup location and ask them to make you up an extra card.

I've now also found out I can get one over the counter at my local Sainsbury's store which has a Foreign Exchange Dept. The have the blank cards there and they print them straight away

    No, you cannot.

Just follow the instructions given. Order online and pick up from a Travelex outlet.

I am talking about the Travelex Currency Card. I spoke to Sainsburys who confirmed what I said. What makes you think this is incorrect?

The Travelex currency card is a completely different product.
Just get the card that was recommended before you come unstuck. Everyone thinks that they have a smart idea.
You come here for the best advice, so take it.

Wow! I really appreciate you pointing me in the right direction, but you are the one who has obviously come unstuck here unless you consider being arrogant and rude as some sort of advantage.

You need to get out more and stop thinking that because someone needs a little help on a something you are suddenly better than them.

It's such a shame because I'm sure there are many decent people on here who despite their individual hang ups and foibles don't feel it necessary to present themselves in such a way as you have.

Perhaps you don't understand that subtleties of these forum type exchanges and to be fair things often go astray don't they.

I may even go as far as to suggest that you are displaying certain traits of Asperger's syndrome in which case I appreciate that I would of course be reading your intentions incorrectly and for that I apologise.

However, don't bite of more than you can chew buster, because if you talk to me like that again I will put you in the !!!!ing ground.

    Nutter alert! :rotfl:

Even if you were up to your threat...and you are not. You can't imagine how many of the same questions I answer every day. Every day someone thinks they have a better idea.... :D

You are lucky to have someone to help you at all.

So wind your neck in and just say thank you.

As to your wild Internet threat, it just makes you seem crazy.

Calm down, order the card suggested and enjoy your trip. :)
