Orange / T-mobile 3G signal

As Orange were unable to offer me a competitive retention deal I have moved to T-mobile thinking that the coverage would be the same (excellent) as they share each other’s network.

I have now found out that this currently only covers the 2G network which means the internet is painfully slow via GPRS. :(

Does anybody know when 3G will be shared? I’d rather not send the phone back as it’s a Samsung Galaxy S which Orange no longer have but it looks like I may have to.

Thanks
