Proud to be dealing with my debts!

2007 resolution: I will not hide bills at the bottom of the bookcase in the hope that the bill fairy will pay them. The bill fairy does not exist.

Actually, Jennyjelly, you're quite wrong. The bill fairy DOES exist. Sadly though it's she who pops them through your door :p

OMG - we have become addicted to varations of this :)

Hubbies favourite is potato, onion, leeks, mushrooms, bacon, cheese sauce & all the same again with grated cheese on top.

My favourite is anything as long as there is no meat in it :D

Haven't added tinned tomatoes to it yet though - for some reason I dont fancy that but we will ge tround to trying it.

    yum yum, pigs bum :)
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...
  • A new favourite (as of tonight):

    Potato burritos
Boil some new potatoes. When cooked, drain and cool until they can be handled, then dice. Heat olive oil in a pan. Add potatoes and cook until browned and crispy. Season with cumin, cayenne, onion salt, garlic salt and freshly ground pepper. Make tortillas, HM salsa, HM guacamole & HM ranch dressing. To assemble burritos: Put a tortilla on a plate, top with potato filling, ranch dressing, guac, salsa, thinly sliced spring onions, lettuce (we used rocket), grated Cheezley. Eat. Promise DH to make them again soon!

    :A
I want to move to theory. Everything works in theory.

quackers - if/when you do add tinned toms or passata, dont forget to add a bit of sugar to counteract the acidity/bitterness of the tomatoes just like you would when making any other tomato based sauce.

dont know where my brain was when i was cooking, but i clean forgot about it!

We had this last night with just the potatoes, onion, cheese tomatoes and a tiny bit of bacon, and it was fabulous. Tasted much more exotic and rich than a list of the ingredients might lead you to believe - if you don't fancy the idea of potatoes and tomatoes together just think gnocchi in tomato sauce. This was similar to that, though different textures of course
