Afternoon everyone,
Had a little chat with DS yesterday & fingers crossed things will improve, today he was up before 10  to walk the dogs & he is now weeding the patio with the jet wash :THave long known that the way to a mans/boys heart is through his stomach but have only just worked out that the best way to get them to do something is to involve a power toolalthough apparently the hoover does not count as a power tool even tho' it has to be plugged in:undecided still patio looks lovely, & he has been rewarded with banana milkshake & hm cookies.
Last lot of bedding on line as weather fc is 'orrible for the weekend although if there is any sun I hope it is over Bitsy's? party.
Unsure what is for dinner tonight, I fancy fish but the rest of them are not keen & cba to cook two meals.
Hi :wave:to all newbies,
Hugs, spoons & Hi5's where needed x

Hiya all from sunny Mexico. Been diving lots and having a wonderful time, but the lurgy has hit (why does it do that on holiday?) and I'm confined to quarters while DH goes off to enjoy the day.
Managed to lose my wedding ring which doesn't help mood. DH keeps saying 'its only a thing and an be replaced' but I'm sooo p***ed off with myself. and a replacement just wont be the same.
Having a hotel bbq tonight. We've met some great people and are making up a group to go snorkeling with whale sharks at the beginning of next week which will be fab. Slightly concerned about the heat though. I'm on waterproof factor 60 and I'm still crisping. It is soooo hot. Glasgow sounds great at the moment. The heat just makes you so lethargic. I'm only just on my 2nd book after 7 days. (This is me who normally gets through a decent sized book in a day on holiday)
Ah well. Hugs and best wishes to all.GC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500 -
Hi eveyone,
Hope you are all ok. I'm feeling happy today - OH is working from home and DS has come up to see us on his day off.
I went swimming this morning, which I am trying to do 2 or 3 times a week (I'm doing weightwatchers so I'm trying to up my exercise).
This afternoon I will be making a lasagne with the pork I cooked yesterday. I'll be freezing it to eat when our guests arrive next week. I'll also be trying my hand at a bit of jewellery making and tackling the ironing mountain.
Hope you all have good afternoons.0 -
hello everyone. been awful lazy trying to book things online today. Have got my train booked to visit my Mum, booked DD's All Time Low Tickets and am currently deciding on dates and times for our long weekend in Madrid ( trying to decide on hotel is the worst, I'm so indecisive and want to not spend too much!!).
DH managed to get DD's broken phone into town today but it's out of warranty so have got all the palaver of sorting that out. Will phone Apple on the offchance but am not hopeful. She will NOT be getting another Iphone though, the contract is sooo expensive compared to anything else and I'm sure she'd rather have the money towards her social life or clothing.
Been up to the SM and bought bits for baking so I think I'll nip off and do a bit of that now.
Quiet night in tonight as have a birthday party tomorrow night and it's bound to get messy:o.Grocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)

I'm recovered from the visit to the dracula-lady yesterday, thankfully, and have virtually finished all this weeks flylady list. Mr LW has given the seal of approval to the carrot'n'orange cake I made for him, so all is well on the lunch-box front.:D
Veggie sausages and chips for dins; bless him, Mr LW cut the chips last night and put them in a bowl of water, so I don't have to risk my fingers. I think we'll have some fried toms, too; and there's a bananana:D wants using up that'll do for pud.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Arrived OK
Long day - going out to fill up with diesel and eat shortly.
DH sat on the bed with a coffee and promptly nodded off. Will let him have a snooze.

Lovely afternoon at History class we 'did' Napoleon and we all agreed that although he did a lot for the french he was a bit of a thug and meglomaniac to boot.
Last week next Friday, then off until 9th Sepember.I have heard from Uni and they have said I can enrol for the evening sessions, but they will be at Canterbury for my last year ,still awaiting a reply from them to to my tutor as she has sent a strongly worded letter telling Uni that to have 15 students trundling down the motorway every evening is a bit daft when she can arrnage classes locally that we can all get to I could manage it during the good weather but in the middle of a January evening to drive 25+ miles each way with my creaky joints wouldn't be practical. So we will have to wait and see what the governing body comes up with.
Spoke to my big brother Davy this morning, and he sounds o.k. if very tired he had to have 2 pints of best french claret (blood) pumped in the other night after his chemo as his red blood count was very low.But he is taking things on the chin bless him and giving it his best shot.
I'm going to have a lazy evening tonight as all the washing and iroining is sorted and I've just made the bed up with lovely fresh smelling sheets off the line.
I am now going to surf to see if I can find a deal for my DGS 21st birthday in November he is keen on motor racing and I would like to get him as a special treat a day at Brands Hatch. My late OH did it back in1990 and had a fantastic time. Its something that will live in his head for the rest of his life I think .so fingers crossed I can find something.
have a great evening whatever you are doing
take care all
