Options
can someone explain for me?

last aug l bought a halogen oven from argos. unfortunately after ld had it for 9mths the halogen ring burnt out so i took it back with my recipt and they gave me a new one .no probs
now the bit i dont get is that they told me that as they had exchanged it for me l did not get another full years warranty on the new one, only the remaining 3 mths left from my original purchase of the faulty one :(

is this right

That's fairly typical for warranties, remember that a warranty or guarantee is in addition to your statutory rights, so they can put whatever terms and conditions they like in them

    Yes it is right.

Think about it, if it started again when you were given the new one, you could effectively get a brand new one every year, which really doesn't make for a good business model...
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands
