cat has new home maybe!!!

hi 2 weeks ago our cat daisy went missing for a week was worried done posters vets etc. anyway she turned up after a week ok. then again this monday she has gone missing again and still not home , so now thinking she is being fed elsewhere which really annoys me cos she is well loved, microchipped , spoilt to the extreme she fed chicken etc. i wish people would get there own animals to look after . i dont think she was shut in as she wasnt thin or that thirsty.

we have a cat that comes in regulary for food, we do not encourage it, we chase it out , our cats dont like it so they chase it out, yet it still continues to come in for food and to sleep sometimes, and no i will not buy a magnetic cat flap because i do not like my cats wearing collars.

some one may be feeding it but also your cat may just be taking it and deciding to stay away

You can get collars that say 'Please do not feed me' on them.

I'm considering getting one for my youngest little lad as I'm fairly sure one of my older neighbours tempts him in with food and then attempts to keep him!

before we had a resident cat of our own, we'd fairly frequently get neighbourhood cats coming around mooching (I found one in the hall one afternoon just sauntering around like they owned the place, I did a classic double-take then thought to myself "hang on, we don't have a cat" :rotfl:).

My point is, your little cat might be playing cute puss and its not your neighbour's fault if she prefers to dine somewhere else - whats the saying, cats don't have owners, they have staff?

er - cats may be spoilt rotten at 'home', but they sometimes befriend others. it could be that your cat doesnt want to cut all ties at home - but may be spending time at another place for a reason known only to them! they may have children the cat enjoys playing with - or another cat they have befriended. who knows?????? your cat will make up its own mind.

It's difficult - I've had the reverse a cat hanging around going through the bins and making a mess everywhere and crying outside my window. I started feeding it and have tried to re-home it but there's a waiting list . I already have an elderly cat so can't take her in. Then out of the blue the owner turns up but because he only had it one night before she ran off she doesn't know him and runs away when she sees him. Hope your cat stays with you but at times as cat lovers it's hard to know what to do for the best.

Next door's cat moved in with us in November, he was fine about it. Cat's choose their owner's and as she's a psycopath cat I kid you not. I am not going to be the one to tell her. LOL.

well guess what daisy turned up bold as brass this morning waiting for her food as usual , she doesnt look thin so may invest in collar so people know she has got a home because she isnt what i call a fat cat her body is streamline if you get what i mean. she is now asleep on my daughters bed and thats where she will stay all day knowing my daughter.

Chloe was gone from Monday evening till Friday night - she turned up looking better than when she left.. looks brushed all over and generally well. I guess she moved in with someone for those few days while I was frantically putting posters up alll over the place and hanging on the phone for hours reporting her missing wherever I could...

    Cats, huh?

cats are pains. we moved house about 6 months ago and I kid you not the movers were still unloading and next doors cat was in wandering about and crying for attention. You would of though from his behavious he was starved ingnored and generally mistreated but nope he is just a chancer as we have learned over the last few months.
