'inclusive' minutes scam

Worth asking t-mobile about this. My contract only started end of this May and I made a couple of short test calls (i.e calls under a minute) and checked my inclusive minutes before and after the call to verify how T-mobile actually is deducting my inclusive balance and I don't see any evidence of them rounding it up to a minimum of 1 min. I made one 12 sec call and one 50 sec call and in both cases, my balance was appropriately reduced and not by one min each in both cases.
Maybe you can do a similar test and if you do find that your balance is getting reduced by one min for each such short call, then you could call up customer services and ask whether you price plan has this specific rounding up clause.
Btw, when did your current t-mobile contract commence?0 -
O2, Orange and Voda will only decrement inclusive calls per second from your allowance. I think T-Mobile are the only ones that round up inclusive calls to the first minute.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0

Three also do it... though it doesn't particularly bother me, but then I did check *before* taking out my contract
Yeah, I'm sure they do. My minutes are used up fairly quickly if I'm not careful. However, I've checked where the minutes are being spent and they do take the minutes accurately.0 -
I have been using Giffgaff for the last 4 months and Im quite happy with it. Giffgaff pricing is the lowest amongst mobile providers and service is reliable(O2 network). Most packages offer unlimited texts and unlimited web access without the need to be tied into a contract. The £10 goodybag that I use, gives me 250 UK mins, unlimited UK texts and unlimited web access for a month - which is better than most pay monthly contract deals and the UK texts and internet are unlimited without any restrictions. I use a HTC Desire HD...the mobile internet is quite good. If you decide to join and would like a free Giffgaff sim with £5 free credit pls PM me.:)0

As I mentioned earlier on this thread, I have a tmobile contract and I have verified by actual short calls that no such rounding is being done. Tmobile is deducting my inclusive balance on a per second basis.0
