Is 1GB allowance enough if I want to leave on a 3G connection 24/7? I really want to be alerted to any new emails I may be getting.

I have 1Gb monthly allowance and have it on 24/7 on my BB.
I use internet every night, emails every day and various apps over the internet.
I also seem to be having updates downloaded weekly for BB and some apps.
Never come close to the 1Gb allowance yet.0 -
For emails alone, assuming you arent receiving 10mb attachments every day and the account is set to push rather than a full poll every time it checks then yes you should be ok with 1gb. Be aware though that on an android phone (no idea if it is or isn't) if you do much more than just checking email etc it can be easy to use that 1gb - one of the data monitoring apps will help you control that if need be though0

Ah It's an HTC Desire S. I literally just want to get updates on emails throughout the day and have a look at Twitter when using public transport!
Out of the two deals, which do you think would be better:
Found this T Mobile Offer via Quidco:
Quidco £150 cashback
£25.54/month (works out at £19.29/month)
free HTC Desire S
free 300 mins call allowance
unlimited texts
Unilited internet (No fair use policy)
24 month contract
This is the Vodafone Upgrade I have been offered:
£15/month
free HTC Desire S
free 300 mins call allowance
unlimited texts
free 1GB internet allowance
free 1GB BT Internet WIFI allowance
24 month contract (it was 18 months... but got a call to let me know a 'mistake' had been made and the offer was only for a 24 month contract with no possibility of an 18 month one).0 -
Depends if you're happy to have the phone for 2 years. I would personally never sign up to a 2 year deal as i know there isn't the slightest chance I'd see it through. If this is the case with you then it might be worth exploring 18 month upgrades from vodafone.
I would imagine these will come in at about £25 a month for the same bundle you've already discussed. If you're happy with 2 years then just go with the cheaper monthly option - 1gb will do you for email and occasional social networking type stuff just keep an eye on it with 3g watchdog or the like as certain apps can use a hell of alot of data.0
