The Distance selling act is the one you're looking for. And provided the contract was signed in your home, or online or via phone, then they apply (except in a small number of cases - what is the service for?).
Are you sure you dont mean doorstop selling regulations?
Distance selling would be the DSR's which only apply to contracts that are concluded entirely at a distance (no face to face) and obviously if they visited the OP's home, this wouldnt be at a distance. Although i have to admit, i nearly forgot the name of the doorstep selling regulations myself!
