    How awful :(

I can remember how she got quite anxious over exams when we were doing our NCTJ so to have to go through all that again for her NQJ must be a nightmare

Right - I have slept twice on my day off and gotten through a scant amount of finances. I am going to go watch some telly downstairs - tennis tomorrow and a looooooong day of work, in fact Weds-Sat now for me so will have to make it a pact to spend 15 mins in every hour of walking down stairs and back up again and knocking off my finances little by little.

    Yawn, stretch good morning.
Early start to get the wagon to the Audi service centre that opens at 7:30am as I am covering work on my own today so MUST get back earlyish!
With the fog I decided I would leave around 6:30 and now have to sit in the nearby retail park for 20 mins! But I just knew if I left 15 mins later I would have gotten here after 7:30!!!

Getting a courtesy car as the wagon is in for MOT and body work - I bought my company car when I left IBM and paid for it outright so I suppose as it will have to last me a good long while it needs a fair bit of care - and alas the bodywork coincides with the dreaded cambelt replacement! Oh well thanks to Martin, I have a car fund so my only saving grace is that I will pay for the car on my Am3x Cashback Card and then can transfer the money over on 6th April to cover the bill.

As a consequence today is definitely going to be an NSD and I really must get some new soups done on Sunday as I only have two left after my mammoth soup session.

My Tilly Tidy will be tackling a piece of paperwork every time I take my 45 min get up and walk around break!

I looked him up on the interwebz ... because my Mortgage Money-pig is my old B@rclays Premier sweepsave account, I thought a "virtualised" one would look cool - if you want the JPG/PNG for it just drop me a PM and I'll send it on. I open it in Paint and then just select Text and type in what's left, save it and upload to tinypic and voila!

On happier news (I hope) I dropped the car off and they had no idea it was due in for bodywork... but the guy arrived and we went out to take a look at the car... he thought it was still a company car, so when I told him I'd bought it when I left, he recommended that instead of full bodywork, they'll do the Smart-Repair (the one where they put a marquee round it and just touch up and blend through as best they can. It will look like it's been touched up but it will be dramatically cheaper than the £1K+.

They will keep an eye on it as it comes in for services and if the worst of the chips start to rust through, then they will put it in for more comprehensive body work.

I remember a former colleague snapping at a client no less, who had advised me to take the car to a proper Audi dealership for services etc... and I did some research of the nearest independent garage who specialises in German cars and the dealership does come out as a couple of hundred pounds cheaper... (plus they keep giving me a TT as a courtesy car!)

So with any luck the car should get through the MOT, get a bit of a tidy up of the worst chips and I can get my tax sorted and still have enough to pay from the insurance from the car fund.

ETA: ouch - tyres need changing but the smart repair guy is not going to charge at all for the touch-ups. And I get to keep the TT for another day!
