Renewed fixed terms give continuity so f over 2 years you are into potential redundancy situation if they want to change the contract below what you think is reasonble.0

I don't know your exact circumstances but perhaps if you hours were cut you would be entitled to some benefits/more benefits? I appreciate that isn't what you want but it might help a bit? Try entitled to website or Martin has a benefits checker on her somewhere.

The real answer is to get another SEN job as you sound or must be qualified and have much experience. The cut off points for September recruitment is almost up so get applying. The harder one works the luckier one gets!0

I do need to speak to my union and def look into it.
What i'm most !!!!ed off about (and so is another friend i work with) is we're a small school, only 4 classes in total so only about 15 employees inc teachers and only seems to be 4/5 of us affected, that they never had some kind of one to one or even group meeting to be told our hours were being cut just a poxy letter handed out as i was leaving work for the day! At least if they'd sat us down and told us face to face rather than doing it this way!
you could understand if it was a huge faceless conglomerate that just does it by letter!
in fact a few months ago they got the school together after an inset day meeting and said how hard we'd worked and no-one had to worry about our jobs and that they were in a good financial positionTUFKA - Lyndsay_210 -
I know it's not quite the same, but the couple of times I have been made redundant, although they've met face to face, they are so worried about it being a 'fair' and 'transparent' process that all they have effectively done is read from a script from which they haven't deviated.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0
